It was morning. I woke up from my sleep and opened my e/c eyes and saw that my husband Larry was not in bed. Hmm I thought. I bought a smile to my face because today it was my birthday. Larry would always do something special and amazing when it was my birthday, like how last year he got me a beautiful Hawaii shirt. Maybe he is in the kitchen preparing a special breakfast for me maybe? Can't wait!
I grabbed my robe and covered myself with it, went to the bathroom to rinse my mouth and wash my face and headed to the dinning room and their I saw Larry in the room sitting down eating breakfast and reading the newspaper.
"Morning beautiful." He said and took a sip of his coffee
I was a bit confused. Normally he would have prepared something nice for me. But I came up to him and placed a kiss on his cheek.
"Morning handsome." I began "Do you have any plans today? You know, something Special. Like a surprise?" I gave him a suggested smile hoping to give him a hint that it was my birthday but Larry looked confused.
"I do have plans Y/N. Nothing special of course but I just have some paperwork to fill in." He rose from his seat and gave me a small peck on the lips "I'll come back home as soon as I can ok?" I nodded and off he went to work.
Oh god. He didn't forget my birthday did he? He never ever forgotten my birthday or our anniversary. Ever. He always remembers and prepares for anything.

I decided to grab a magazine and look at some clothes and deals but Larry was still on my mind. Maybe he has my presents hidden in a closet? I tried to check inside of Larry's closet to see if he had prepared or hidden and presents for me. I opened the door and......
Nothing. Nothing was there apart from his clothes and other stuff. I felt a little bit broken inside of me. And not to mention normally if it was my birthday or our anniversary Larry would always and I mean always would get the day off work. Speaking of work, I've got some to finish off. Maybe that will keep me distracted.
I grabbed my coat, bag and car keys and headed to the car and started to drive to work.
I arrived. I stepped inside and headed to my workspace. I saw my friend Macey and she smiled and waved at me. "Hi Y/N! Happy Birthday!"
At least somebody remembers.
"Hi Macey." I replied back
"Y/N what are you doing here! It's your birthday! You should be taking the day off!"
"It's fine Macey, besides I have some work to finish off"
She nodded and understood and walked away.
I stepped into my cubicle and started to type into my computer.

A couple of hours went passed and drove back home still upset about Larry. My eyes started to water but I tried not too cry; I bit my lip to prevent water streaming down my cheek.
I reached home and strutted to the door in an angry posture. I swear To God Lawrence Dimmick, I swear I'm gonna scream my entire lungs out-
And there he was himself. With a smile on his face, Standing inside the house that was suddenly covered with balloons, fiery lit candles, presents and beautiful decorations.
I felt totally guilty now, I shouldn't have got mad and acted like a brat for my husband forgetting about my birthday. I bursted into tears and ran to Larry and gave him a big hug. He hugged my back tightly and we cuddled.
"Oh my god Larry, I don't know what to say I-"
"Ssh it's ok darling; happy birthday. Of course I didn't forget your birthday and I never would. This was a surprise all along." He grinned
A smile crept on to my face and I kissed him.
"Aren't you gonna open your presents?" He asked. I giggled and he handed me a medium sized box. I unwrapped and suddenly revealed a beautiful dress folded inside of it.

"Aren't you gonna try it on?" He laughed
I quickly took my jean and shirt off and placed the dress on top of me. It was perfect. He kept giving me gifts and every gift I've got a gave him more sweet kisses.
He played some nice, soft and classical music in the background and we started to Ballroom waltz and dance to it. This was probably one of the best surprises I've ever received even if it was unexpected.
"I Love you Lawrence Dimmick." I whispered as I leaned my head on his shoulder
"I love you Y/N L/N" he whispers and kisses my head
