*Gabriella's POV*
"Gaby! Gaby! I found the cotton candy!" Frankie yells from the booth she's currently jumping up and down in front of.
"And this is why we're friends!" I say, smiling as I run up to her.
She smiles back and then turns to the cotton candy guy. "I'll have a medium, blue. And my friend here will have a large pink, with extra cotton and a ton of candy, please." Frankie pushes her midnight brown hair behind her ear.
"Oh, you know me so well," I giggle, grabbing my huge cotton candy cone and hungrily taking a bite out of it (the cotton candy, not the cone).
We walk down the dirt path of the fair, me constantly tripping over my feet.
Oh yeah, I'm very clumsy, by the way.
"So, where to next?" Frankie questions, looking around. "We could go to the paintball thingy, the dunk tank, the circus thingy, the pinball booth..."
Suddenly I spot a very familiar face walking towards us. "Quickly! Hide!"
"Why?" Frankie asks, following me behind the circus tent.
"Parks is here." I say once we're finally out of sight.
"Chase?"
"Yeah! What other Parks would we be hiding from?" I say, with a very hilarious "duh" look on my face. But the look was quickly gone when someone bumps into me from behind, causing me to drop my cotton candy. Both me and Frankie gasp in horror. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOT MY COTTON CANDY!" I yell. Very loudly, may I add, I'm quite sure Chase heard me.
"Oh, I am so sorry! I didn't mean to do that! I was just walking, I'm so sorry!"
Wait a second, I know that voice. And it's not just any voice, either. I turn around slowly. My eyes lock with a pair of very blue eyes. Well, not exactly. The eyes are kind of covered by dark chocolate brown hair. "OH MY GOD YOU'RE HAYES GRIER!" I yell.
"Yeah, I am," he smiles, "but, please try not to say it too loud. I'm trying to stay 'under the radar', you know?"
"Yeah, totally." I smile, probably looking like a fool.
Oh, look at those eyes. So perfect. And those muscles, too. Can I have a Hayes Grier for my birthday? Oh wait, he's right here. Oh yeah.
I hear a buzz and Hayes pulls his phone out of his pocket. "Oh, sorry girls, I, uh, gotta go. Nash is getting tired. But um, maybe I'll see you around?"
"Yeah, maybe," Frankie says, trying to sound cool. But in reality she sounds totally starstruck.
"Bye!" I yell as he walks off.
Okay, now that he's gone, I want him back.
HE DIDN'T EVEN GET MY NUMBER!
Or my name, but that's not a huge deal. Oh wait YES IT IS!
Suddenly I hear another buzz. "Is that your phone, Franks?"
"Uh, no... it's Hayes's."
"WHAT?" I look down. Sure enough, Hayes had dropped his phone when slipping it back into his pocket.
