Okay, before all of you start yelling at me I'M SORRY OKAY. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND I DON'T HAVE ANY EXCUSE. I WILL TRY TO BE BETTER. I honestly hate it when people say that they'll update it and then don't, and now I'm such a hypocrite. I'm not gonna say an update time, but I'm trying to be better about writing. Please don't hate me.

Also, this week's reader of the chapter goes out to @_pizzaunicorn_. Thanks for being so amazing! I love all of you guys, and I hope you enjoy this chapter!

*Hayes's POV*

"Hayes! Hayes Hayes Hayes Hayes Hayes!"

"Yeah, Sky?" I ask, opening up my door to see my little half sister standing there.

"Come play horsie-princess with me!" she squeals, jumping up and down. Her blonde hair flops over her face, and her blue princess dress is swishing against the floor.

"I don't know Sky, I'm busy right—" She holds up a small pink dress and a tiara, as if demanding me to play. "Okay, I guess I can play for a little while." I take the items out of her hand and struggle into the dress, only able to wear it as a tiny shirt, barely even that. It only covers my stomach because of the long skirt part of it. I pull my hands through my hair before placing the tiara on my head. "Alright, let's go."

I head into Sky's pink room, and almost trip on the toy horse lying right by her door. "Come on Hayes, sit down!" Sky says sternly. I walk over to her swing and sit down on it. "HAYES YOU'LL BREAK IT GET OFF!"

"But Nash has sat on it before..." I protest. She glares at me, and I sit on the ground, picking up a pink horse. But she screams at me that that one's hers, so I pick up the white horse lying next to it. We continue to play at peace, with her occasionally yelling about how I'm playing it wrong. I soon hear the doorbell ring, but I don't think anything of it. I hear my mom welcome the person in with open arms, although I don't catch the person's name. After a few minutes, I hear footsteps headed upstairs. The door cracks open, revealing the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.

"Hi Hayes," she says, smirking at my outfit.

"Well this is embarrassing," I mumble standing up. "Hey Gabs."

(A/N: Who thought he was gonna say someone else? BE HONEST HERE PEOPLE)

*Gabriella's POV*

I decided to go to Hayes's house to surprise him since I was bored, and we were texting and he said he had nothing to do. I hadn't seen him a little bit, and I missed him. I quickly ran to the bathroom and fixed my makeup, and then grabbed socks before running downstairs. I put on my black Nike 5.0s, grabbed my penny board, and left my house, skating to Hayes's house with the summer sun beating down on my back. School ends in three days, I think to myself. Wow, the year went by fast. Within four minutes, I arrive at Hayes's house. I run up the walkway, and knock on the door. Elizabeth opens in up, smiling as soon as she sees me.

"Gaby!" she exclaims, pulling me in for a hug. "How are you? Haven't seen you over here in a while." She closes the door behind me as I set my penny board down next to Hayes's.

"I've been busy. I went away for the weekend, and since the year's almost over, our teachers want to give us as much homework as possible."

"Of course. Hayes was telling me about his endless amounts of homework. I always just figured that he was talking to you. Would you like anything to eat?" I shake my head no. "Alright then, Hayes is upstairs. I think he's in Skylynn's room. If not, he's in his," she says, pulling some banana bread out of the oven. "Are you sure you don't want anything Gaby?"

"I'm fine, thank you though." I smile at her, and begin up the stairs.

"Hayes! You're doing it wrong! The white pony is friends with the pink pony, not the purple pony! The purple pony is friends with the black pony!" I smile before opening the door. And I was not expecting what I saw. Hayes is in a baby pink princess dress, but it barely even fits him as a shirt. A little tiara is placed on his perfect hair, and when he notices me, his face turns pinker than the dress Skylynn gave him.

"Hi Hayes." I smirk at him.

"Well this is embarrassing," he mumbles, standing up. "Hey Gabs."

"No it's not, it's cute," I giggle, rubbing my hands up and down his strong muscles. Wow he's strong. He blushes even more, and I peck his nose. He then grabs my cheeks and plants a kiss on my lips.

"EW THAT'S GROSS HAYES STOP!" Skylynn screams loudly, making up break apart laughing. She's sitting there with her arms crossed, giving us a look filled with attitude. "It's not funny."

"Oh don't worry Sky," Hayes laughs, "Gaby and I will save the kissing for my room."

"Hayes!" I say, smacking his arm. "So not what's going to happen!" He smiles and pecks my lips again, and Skylynn screams once more. We giggle again, and he grabs my hand and pulls me downstairs and out the front door.

Hayes's hand feels warm on mine. It feels right. It feels like we're meant to be together, in this moment. Walking next to him, talking, flirting, blushing, everything. It feels absolutely perfect. I look up at him, his icy blue eyes shining in the summer sun. Hi brushes his hand through his brown, perfect hair, slightly messing it up but only making it more perfect. He rubs his thumb over the palm of my hand, making me shiver, even in the summer North Carolina heat.

"Hayes," I ask, looking up at him.

"Yeah?" he responds, voice deep and beautiful.

"Where are we going?" He pauses, and thinks for a moment.

"Um, I'm not sure." I giggle at his response. "We can go anywhere. The beach, ice cream, park, anywhere at all. As long as I'm with you." I look up at him, grab his face, and pull his lips to mine. Perfection, as always. He smiles into the kiss, putting his hands on my hips.

"Hayes? Hayes Grier?" I turn to see a beautiful teen, around our age, standing with her mouth agape. "You have a girlfriend?" Hayes grabs my hand without looking at her. Her eyes travel down to our intertwined hands, and her eyes snap up to mine, slightly narrowing. I look at Hayes, seeing if he sees it too. But he's just smiling at her, in a dumb boy way. Well I guess he's seen her now. And that girl can see her effect on him. She smiles a dazzling smile, and flips her hair back. "Hi, I'm Julia," she says, reaching her perfectly manicured hand out for Hayes to shake. Her dark brown hair shines, and she pushes her boobs up slightly with her elbows. Hayes shakes her hand, and she looks at me to see my reaction. I glare at her.

"Nice to meet you," I growl, and she smirks at me. Hayes just continues to look at her.

"We should totally hang out sometime!" she exclaims, pulling her phone out of her back pocket. "Here, put your number in my phone." I force a smile and grab her gold iPhone 6s Plus out of her hand. I punch my number in as Hayes's face lights up.

"Yeah, let's all hang!" he grins. She smiles back at him. I know she's going to invite him along, meaning I'll probably lose him to this gorgeous girl with the amazing body.

"Actually Hayes, I'm sorry, but I just wanna hang with... Gabriella," she says, looking at her phone for my name. Hayes gives me a look like Gabriella? because he knows that all of the people I hang out with call me Gaby. In retrospect, hanging with Hayes and Julia would have been better than just Julia. At least I'd make it home safely. She's digging daggers into my skin with her eyes.

"Alright, well, Gaby and I actually have to go," Hayes says, smiling at her. "We'll see you around." She waves her perfect hand and smiles her perfect smile at us as we turn to go. He grabs my hand and pulls me down the street. But as soon as we fall into step with each other, he lets go. "She seems nice," Hayes begins.

"Yeah, she does," I respond, lying through every inch of my body. "Let's go get ice cream, okay?"

Hayes looks at his phone, and turns onto his street. "I'd rather just go back to my house. I'll see you later, okay?" I nod as he walks away, looking down at his phone. My phone beeps, and I look down to see a text from an unfamiliar number.
