Chapter 3

*Hayes's POV*

I almost kissed Gaby. I almost kissed Gabriella Moreno, the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on.

And she wanted to kiss me back.

Does Gaby like me?

Well, maybe I would know if stupid Nash hadn't ruined the moment! He always ruins everything. Well, maybe I would have to hang out with Gabriella some other time, and see if we kiss. Maybe it was a one time, spurt of the moment thing. Maybe she doesn't actually like me. But I hope she does.

*Gabriella's POV*

I almost kissed Hayes. I almost kissed Benjamin Hayes Grier, the most handsome guy I have ever laid my eyes on.

And he leaned in to kiss me.

Does Hayes like me?

I hope so, because I sure as hell like him.

*Nash's POV*

I bounded in the door, and I heard people pull away from above my head. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE WATCHING A MOVIE! NOT KISSING!

I don't think they did kiss, I think they were only about to, because Hayes keeps giving me glares like I ruined something. They better not have kissed. Now it's going to be even harder to get Gabriella, and she is gorgeous. She is the only girl I want. I get that she's two and a half years younger, but that never stopped me, did it? Nope.

I'm the reason that Hayes and Kaylee broke up, because I kissed Kaylee. And the reason that Jordan and Hayes broke up, because I told Jordan I liked her. And it turns out she was only using Hayes for me, so I guess that worked out. But this time, it's different. Gabriella Moreno is beautiful, much more beautiful than Jordan, and even Kaylee. And Kaylee was drop dead gorgeous.

I'm sure that Hayes has told her bad stuff about me, but that never stopped me. And no one's ever believed him anyways. Gabriella will be mine, or I will die trying.

*Gabriella's POV*

"So Gaby, meet me at the park?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah. Park, in like, 10 minutes?" I was trying to focus on what Hayley was saying, I really was. But I just couldn't stop thinking about Hayes. His laugh, his smile. The way his hand touched my cheek as our lips were about to hit-

"Hello? Earth to Gabriella?" Hayley says annoyed into the phone.

"Yeah? Hi. Sorry, thinking." I really needed to get Hayes out of my head.

"Well, we have plenty of time to talk about it at the park. 10 minutes, I'm gonna ride there. You can walk, but you might not make it in time with all of your 'thinking'. I'll see you soon."

"Okay, bye. See you soon." I hung up the phone and quickly ran upstairs. I had to change from what I had been wearing from hanging out with Hayes. I threw on black leggings, an oversized gray sweater, a baby pink beanie, and pink Vans. I ran downstairs and grabbed my mint green penny board, and was off.

I pennyboarded down to the park that was about a block away from my house. I saw Hayley sitting on the bench, talking to Kaylee.

Kaylee was my next door neighbor, and Hayes's ex girlfriend. They broke up because of Nash. Or, at least that's what Hayes said. Kaylee and Nash did date after her and Hayes's break up, but they broke up about a month ago. She was really annoying.
