No one’s pov

While the new trio was thinking about which of the two tunnels to enter, Leomord approaches the tunnel on the left and stares inside. After that Harith approaches Leomord and questions him about some kind of magical power or if it would be a hunch that he would approach the tunnel on the left. Without letting him respond Harith quickly looked into the tunnel as well, he could hear sobs far from the cave. It seemed to be like a call, not just any kind of call either, it was one of desperation. Someone definitely needed help inside the cave, and unluckily for the adventurers it wouldn't be just Khaleed.

Seeing Harith's immediate response, Leomord headed into the tunnel on the left without waiting for the adventurers. Their reaction: follow him. They couldn't afford to be alone, after all even if they were strong, they were still 2 on 1 fights, and Leomord would be a great help at least during his stay in the cave. They would know that when they found the woman they wanted so much to find, they would leave. Before entering the tunnel, Harley left an object on the floor, right at the entrance and created a reappearance spell. It would be effective to avoid having to walk back again or if they needed an emergency exit from the end of the tunnel. The training in the Oriental Empire had definitely paid off.

The tunnel was out of light, only the light that could be seen was out of Harley’s chest due to the sacred orbs. The magician was moved to first in command when walking, but there was still not enough light to see clearly so they needed to watch their steps. The air in the tunnel was damp due to the sand itself. The trio stopped walking when Harith told them to, he was touching the walls just to be in touch with the environment. Harley moves near him and tries to do a magic lighting spell, just quick enough for them to see that the walls were covered in scratches with fingernails glue to some of them.

The little adventurers tumbled far from the walls and went near Leomord, Harley’s magic spell had run out, he needed to preserve mana in case he needed to fight once again, and to be honest, they had not recovered from the last encounter. Harley’s loud breathing made Harith get near him to console him, “Everything will be ok, I know it looks horrifying, but the person at the end of this tunnel needs us” words that made Harley get up and continue the march with determination.

Harith’s pov

(sighs) That should be enough to make him have the courage to save someone. My movements had become sloppy and the deeper we walked through this cave the more hopeless I see our escape. These walls are all covered in scratches and not so much blood… good thing none managed to see it due to the lack of light. I cannot manage to lose it now; they are very determined and so will I. I am a moniyan warrior and I have trained so hard for this.  I need to keep telling myself this, it is the only way I can maintain my sanity and be there for Harley, even though it’s inevitable of what he is capable of doing in the future. Does he even know? Is he aware that the changes that are happening are not only esthetic, but on his mind too?
