THE SAFEST PLACE REGINA WOULD TAKE HER SON would be her family mausoleum. Despite what she thought, everyone knew that was where she kept her magic. Where else would it be, her kitchen cabinets? It would be the safest place for Henry. She had stored spells, potions, and recipes for curses. All that magic was at her disposal may a threat come along to play.
That's where she went. That's where she took Pan.
Now all that magic was at his disposal.
They had a rendezvous set up with Neal and the others. Emma had told them everything on the car ride to the cemetery. It was getting chilly. The mood of the passing headstones and fog did nothing to improve the temperature. Naomi untied her jacket and pulled it on.
"When we find Pan, just remember he's still in my body," Henry told Gold. "So if you have to throw a fireball or something... at least avoid the face."
Gold gave him a deadpan glare. "I'll do my best."
"Neal!" Emma shouted at said man, alerting him of their presence. The mausoleum was just getting into view. Neal turned and ran over to them.
"is it really you?" He looked to "Pan".
"Dad!" Henry ran into his hug. "Are you having any luck?"
Neal shook his head and led them to the mausoleum. Killian was trying to pick the lock. Tinkerbell stood off to the side, doing virtually nothing to help.
David walked up to the door. "Did you get the shadow?" He asked.
"Not yet. But we'll be ready when it comes around," Killian said, handing over the coconut trap.
"It's Pan we should be worrying about. Why are we still up here?" Gold demanded rather rudely.
"It's locked from the inside," David announced.
"Really?" Gold held his hand out to the door. Magic would work just fine to open the tiny lock.
But it didn't. Regina had cast a charm over the entire building. Neal sat against the wall. "Told you."
Gold gave up. "Yes, this will take some time."
"Oh dear god..." Emma walked away to catch her breath. Her parents went with her. While they waited for results from Gold, Naomi struck up conversation with Henry.
"So... what was it like in the box?" She hesitantly asked.
Henry folded his arms. "Why do you want to know?"
"Research purposes."
Of course, for her, research meant figuring out whether or not it would be a good idea to cross the wrong person and get trapped in there for a few decades. Crossing lines was something she found herself doing very often over the past couple months. First with Emma (a line that was repeatedly crossed by both parties). The Killian, Regina, and now Neal.
