Human Meat and Home

Honoka came back to school with a lump of raw bloody normal-looking meat but Ryoto knows for sure that the piece of meat is from a human which comes with an appetizing smell while also making him reluctant to eat the piece of pork that is in his lunchbox. Honoka notices Ryotos gaze on the piece of human meat and got an idea.

"Want some?" Honoka asked as she offers the bloody piece of human meat to Ryoto. Ryoto was shocked by Honoka's offer to the point that he nearly coughs up the lunch he ate.

"NO WAY!!!!" Ryoto shouted in refusal but then the appetizing smell along with Honoka hovering it in front of him.

"Is that even enough for you?" Ryoto asked a little worried but still disgusted.

"I already ate enough earlier and don't worry the person I killed is a scum, that guy is part of the group of people who hates the current system of humans and ghouls living together" Honoka reassures Ryoto.

"I... Okay, I'm gonna eat a little bit" Ryoto gave up as Honoka tears one-fourth of the bloody human meat then gives it to him.

Ryoto swallows his nearly overflowing saliva not even caring what part of a human he is about to eat and just places it in his mouth. As Ryoto's teeth sink into the raw bloody human meat, savoring the taste of blood and the chewiness of it.

"Tasty isn't it?" Honoka asked with a confident look.

"It feels weird to eat yet eating it is slightly addicting and actually filling me up better than human food" Ryoto answered as his right eye half turned into a kakugan but disappears again.

"Hmmm... I feel like awakening your Ghoul instincts will make you be able to harness your Ghoul abilities" Honoka said as she crosses her arms on her chest while repeatedly tapping her right index finger on her left arm.

The two of them started to finish their respective meals then went back to the classroom. 

"The new couple finally finished their date" a student teased.

"The color couple!" another student teased.

The two didn't care about the teasing, Ryoto still contemplating about the fact that he just ate human meat while Honoka is thinking of ways to fully awaken Ryoto's Ghoul side since Ryoto might be able to help her when she's in trouble in the future.

A couple of hours later the afternoon half of classes finally finished signaled by the bell chime.

"Honoka, where do you live?" Ryoto asked not knowing the implications and misunderstandings that his question might cause.

"About that... Why do you even want to know?"  Honoka asked in a cop-like way.

"I can't let a girl like you go home alone, especially you since your special" Ryoto answered with a straight expression.

"Himura-san called Byakko-san special!! THE HIMURA-SAN who doesn't care about nearly everything!!!" a student exclaimed which caught everyone's attention.

Honoka started to become embarrassed and claustrophobic due to the other students crowding them. Honoka then grabs Ryoto's arm as she drags him out of school grounds.

"So, where do you live?" Ryoto asked which cause Honoka to stop and jolt back. The two are currently on a rather busy street.

"Ummm... You know... on the streets or at a park, food isn't really much of a problem for me since I'm a ghoul" Honoka answered awkwardly, Ryoto just looked at her with surprise but she is soon dragged by Ryoto.

"Where are you taking me?!" Honoka asked with confusion as she also tries to struggle against Ryoto's grip but Ryoto is just stronger than her.

"As I said earlier I can't let you go home alone much less let you live on the streets!" Ryoto answered loudly which caught the attention of the people near them.

Honoka shut her mouth shut then just let Ryoto drag her away. The two continued walking until the two stopped in front of a door of an apartment with the size of two thousand four hundred square feet or a two-bedroom apartment.

"You didn't think this through, am I right?" Honoka asked when she noticed Ryoto stand still like a statue in front of the door.

Ryoto could only nod as he stared at the door of his own apartment.

'Why did I bring her to my parent's apartment and not to my own apartment?!' Ryoto silently thought as he also silently curse his own impulsiveness.

"If it's going to trouble you this much then you can just let me sleep on a park" Honoka said as she started to walk away but before she could walk past an arms reach she was stopped by Ryoto stopping her by placing his hand on her shoulder.

Honoka looked back at Ryoto only to see his serious expression to the point that his kakugan activating which made her slightly scared, feeling the danger of Ryoto when he is angry or anxious. Honoka could only sigh as she returns to Ryoto's side. Ryoto nods then presses the doorbell with newly found determination.

The door slowly opens as if the one on the other side knows that someone or something dangerous on the other side. Ryoto became impatient and opened the door himself only to be nearly hit by multiple crystal-like projectiles.

"What the hell?!! Is there an enemy ghoul in my parent's house?!!!"Ryoto cursed which surprised Honoka who is already getting ready to attack back evident on her materialised Koukaku Kagune and is already shielding her body with it but at the same time getting ready to launch an offensive attack at any given moment.

"Eh? Ryoto?" a black-haired, kakugan eyes man who looks like a man in his early thirties, tech like ukaku kagune making it clear that he had fought against many ghouls and ate them while wearing a T-Shirt with a design that says "KEEP CALM" and black sweat pants.

"Who else will nonchalantly open your door?! You and Mom are known as people who supported the One-Eyed Ghoul King!" Ryoto shouted as he gestures at the door.

"HUH?!" Honoka let out a stupid sound that caught the attention of a woman who looks like she is in her late twenties, brown long braided hair, kakugan eyes, wearing a white apron on top of a white shirt and black skirt.

"What a surprise! Ryoto brought home a girl!!!" The woman shouted in surprise.
