Dinner

'How did this happen...?' Ryoto wondered while sitting at the dinner table with a full meal for four and Ryoto could even swear that he can smell the faint smell of human meat which is being craved by his stomach.

"Now now let's stop staring at the food in front of us and eat" Mrs. Himura said which snapped Ryoto and Honoka from their stupor.

"Sorry, Mrs. Himura but I can't eat human food" Honoka said as she showed her kakugan and kagune.

"Don't worry the meat is plain old human meat with side dishes for Ryoto" Mrs. Himura said as she ate an entire chunk of meat out of the pork cutlet.

"You can eat the breading?!" Honoka asked her tone filled with surprise.

"Of course, try it" Mrs. Himura said and gestured to the food.

"My wife found out a way to make human-like food that we ghouls can eat" Mr. Himura said as he drank the entire cup of coffee calmly but Ryoto and Honoka can feel his legs trembling under the table, the two decided to ignore this minor detail.

"Hold on a minute! Does that mean that I have been eating human meat since the beginning?!" Ryoto asked the most important question in his mind right now.

"Pffftttt!!!" Mr. Himura accidentally spat out the coffee he was drinking because of him laughing too much.

"Don't be silly Ryo your a full human but with ghoul genes flowing in you" Mrs. Honoka said with a gentle smile while she started to clean the coffee that her husband spat out all over the table.

"Thanks Honey, that's right Ryoto don't be silly your a human, your mom didn't even know that I was a ghoul when we got married and did the deed, although I really can't say anything since I didn't know that your mom was part of the CCG and one of the first generation of artificial one-eyed ghouls" Mr. Himura said merrily. Ryoto and Honoka looked towards each other and then nodded.

"Excuse me Mr. and Mrs. Himura, don't you know that Ryoto is a Natural One-Eyed Ghoul?" Honoka asked.

"Don't be silly Byakko-chan, the government tested the number of RC cells in Ryoto's body when he was born, sure it is greater than normal humans but it is lower than a ghoul's regular number and it is not even enough for him to form his Kakugan much less his Kagune" Mrs. Himura said.

"Mom and Dad look" Ryoto said as his right eye changed into a kakugan.

"Where did you get the contact lenses that look like a kakugan?" Mr. Himura asked curiously.

"Dad! I'm not joking!! My right eye can really change into a kakugan!" Ryoto shouted while Mrs. Himura just went towards Ryoto and hug him.

"There, there Honey even if you are a human we will always love you" Mrs. Himura said gently, meanwhile Honoka couldn't help herself from laughing but managed to hold it into a stifle.
