Weekend Trouble

Ryoto and Honoka both managed to survive the catastrophe of being found out that they live under the same roof by simply saying that Ryoto doesn't want her to go home alone.

"We somehow managed to fool them but I do not know for how long" Honoka said while wiping the cold sweat that is repeatedly falling from almost every pore in her body.

'I would wholeheartedly fight against ten ghouls rather than go through that again' Honoka thought while Ryoto just looks like he doesn't mind it one bit.

"Didn't you say that you are being chased by people who oppose the current system?" Ryoto asked not knowing the harmful effects that it may cause or the painful memories it may cause to resurface. Honoka's expression changed due to Ryoto's question and stiffened.

Ryoto noticed this so he could only sigh and accept that he wouldn't be able to get any answers for now at the very least.

"Forget I asked anything" Ryoto said as he turned on the television to watch the latest episode of the anime he is currently watching.

"I'm sorry..." Honoka apologized after noticing Ryoto's consideration.

"Forget about it since I am also at fault for being insensitive" Ryoto said as he focused his attention on the show.

"So the guy who is known for being someone who doesn't care about anything likes the fantasy genre" Honoka teased Ryoto who only shrugged it off and even corrected her.

"Isekai: Reincarnated with romance to be exact" Ryoto corrected her without even looking away from the T.V.

Honoka was being amused by how Ryoto often commented about how different the anime was from either the manga or the novel and even making reviews on the spot as he watched causing her to involuntarily laugh at him.

"Are there things I need to get for me to be able to blend in with ghouls?" Ryoto asked Honoka who was snapped out of her little daydream.

"You will need a mask and a cloak since you wouldn't want your identity to be exposed when you kill someone" Honoka said as she remembered two half masks, one of the two covered the left part of the face while the other covered the right, mercilessly killing everyone that she knew and loved her whole life.

"-noka!!"

"-onoka!!!" 

"Honoka!!!!"

"Honoka, snap out of it!!!" Ryoto was repeatedly shaking Honoka to try and wake her up from her stupor, his worried face made Honoka be able to come back to reality.

"Did other ghouls do anything to you?!" Ryoto asked loudly not being able to suppress his anger since someone he deemed important to him is reacting negatively when he mentioned ghouls.

"N-no, i-it's nothing..." Honoka shakily answered due to her feeling the anger of Ryoto that is seeping out of his whole body seemingly suffocating her.

"Fine! don't tell me but from now on whenever you go out I will accompany you" Ryoto said sternly while giving off an aura that does not allow anything past it, making it clear that the decision is final.

"O-O-okay..." Honoka shakily answered which only made Ryoto smile wryly due to him scaring her to that point.

"How about we go out this weekend? You and me going around shopping, my treat" Ryoto asked hoping to cheer Honoka up. Although all he knows is that all girls love to go shopping that is why he is gunning for it to work.

Honoka smiled as confirmation although she went straight to her room after she did which made Ryoto nervous in a sense that he might not be able to live after the upcoming weekend.

'Let me just drown this feeling by reading the latest volume of the after story of this novel that I recently got hooked on' Ryoto thought as he pulled out the light novel out of thin air.

Soon the awaited weekend outing arrived and only then did it hit Ryoto that he had just asked someone out and of the opposite gender no less.

"Come on! Let's go!!" Honoka said excitedly as she dragged Ryoto out of the apartment, seeing her smile Ryoto couldn't help himself but smile as well.

The two started going around shopping for necessities and some new clothes for the two of them as Ryoto carried tons of stuff but for him it was quite light but a pain to balance, the bystanders who were watching them either have sympathetic gazes or looking at them warmly, and some envious gazes of course.

"Come on or we're going to miss our movie!" Honoka once again made Ryoto hurry up.

"Okay" Ryoto answered as he prepared himself and started running however unbeknownst to him six tech like wings unfolded under his clothes while his eye slightly changed into a kakugan which gave him a boost.

Honoka became surprised at Ryoto's speed then noticed his clothes become slightly tighter than before which made Honoka grin.

'If thats how you want to play' Honoka thought then also activated her kakugan and kagune, her kagune enveloped her front chest which made her slightly frown as she felt her own meager chest.

"I'm still growing!" Honoka shouted out loud which earned her a few glances but Ryoto thankfully was right beside her so everyone deduced what must have happened which made the men snicker and the women giggle.

The two watched the movie which was just a remastered version of an old movie, they still enjoyed it.

As they were heading home that was when the accident happened. Someone or more specifically a ghoul with four Rinkaku tails which looks to be made out of crystals even though they aren't.

Honoka reacted quickly and was about to activate her kagune but she was stopped by Ryoto who pulled out a small stick out of his pocket which rapidly grew into something as long as a fishing pole which made Honoka confused since everyone knew that only quinque steel or kagunes can kill ghouls.
