You know that feeling when you find yourself overthinking about something you did years ago, moments that no one else remembers, but yet you remember them like it was yesterday, and you wish you could erase those memories.

Erase part of the past that haunts you every day, pain, trauma, sadness. It doesn't even have to be something that big, it could be that time in the 3rd grade when you fell in front of your class, or when you said something and everyone laughed at you.

It doesn't matter how big or small that memory is, you just wish you could forget them.

Well I got that wish granted.

But I consider it more like a curse.

Here I'm in front of my vanity, with a full face of makeup, my brown long hair is straight falling down my back. I'm looking at myself in the mirror.

Sun Williams.

However I don't recognize myself.

In fact I can't remember anything about myself except the last three years of my life. When I woke up in a hospital bed in London, after I was in a car accident.

Three years ago I woke up in that bed, and I didn't even know my own name.

Sometimes I see it as a good thing, that I lost my memory. Because my life before was probably the most boring life on this earth. Not to mention the fact that I also lost my parents and I don't have any siblings.

Or had friends.

I see it as a good thing because I got to come back "home" and begin a new life. I don't remember who I used to be, but for what I was told, it is much better now than back then.

But then I found myself here, staring at myself in the mirror and I don't know who this person is. I look at my own eyes in the reflection, trying to remember, because it doesn't matter how many times the doctor that told me my life story and repeated it to me who I was, I feel like it was all wrong. Like it was all a joke and someone at some point was gonna come out with a hidden camera and say "you have been pranked".

Sometimes when I find myself in this situation, I think so hard and focus on trying to remember, that I end up with a headache. I'm used to them at this point.

My phone snaps me out of my own thoughts when I get an incoming call.

The call id let me know that it's Andrew, my boyfriend.

"Hello" I say, holding the phone with my shoulder so I can finish getting ready.

"Hey sweetheart, I'm outside. You ready?" He asks.

"Yes, let me get my purse and I'll be outside"

"Alright"

I end the call and finish putting my nude lipstick on and then I put it in my handbag.
