Me and hayes just finished surgery. I went into the scrub room he came in after me "great catch" I said as he blushed "thanks couldn't have done it without you"I notice he was nervous about something.As we was scrubbing out he turns off the tap. He turned his body to face mine he look a bit afraid, as if he was trying to say something but nothing came out. My pager went off before he could say anything "sorry I got to go" i say he took a big exhale as I left the scrub room.

Later that day I saw hayes going towards the elevator. "Hayes" I shouted as I did a slight jog towards him. We entered the elevator it was a moment silence "what was you going to tell me in the scrub room" I said to hayes I didn't have the chance of
talking to him earlier because I haven't seen him since.

                  3 hours earlier

Cormac's POV

I seen grey at the scrub room I was trying to ask her if she wanted to go out for drinks. I tried asking her before but she had a rough day with richard and his cobalt leg.(A N/ in 16x21) So couple months went past I disided today would be the day. So after surgery I tried to ask her but couldn't get any words out. Her pager went off I exhaled. She went but ever since I tried to avoid her though out the day because I was humiliated. I wasn't ready to tell her.
 

             back to normal time

As she shouted my name I got a bit nervous again. She hit the button that stops the elevator she looked at me. "Are you mad at me or something"

I was getting a bit anoied now why was he egnoring me "why have you been avoiding me all day" I said in a soft but anoied voice.
"No i havent w-ell-l i have but not in that way im not mad at you i-i" he said "but you've are avoiding me" I said in a disipointed way.
   'The room fills with science'

Cormac's POV

I watch Mer press the button that makes us go again but I quickly hit the button before we could go anywhere. She looked at me waiting for me to say something. "Mer I was avoiding you but it wasn't you. I was trying to to ask in the scrub room" I took a deep breath "would u like to go out for drinks" i said with a smile. The 'button wasnt actually hit so we was moving but we didn't notices' *ding  We both was frightened as we turned to the doors. No longer facing each other richard walks in the doors shut "going home you too" richard said "yes" we both replied
We glanced at each other.

Mer's POV

I walked out with richard "see you tomorrow doctor hayes" I say with a soft voive "See you then doctor grey" he quickly replayed before the doors shut.
