Chaeyoung and Tzuyu quietly walked down the hallway and looked for room 218, when they found it, Chaeyoung approached the door and unlocked it with her key card. They turned on the lights and entered the room to find out that there's only one queen sized bed. Tzuyu turns around and puts her luggage in the closet but it was mainly a way to hide the blush that was appearing on her face. When both of them checked the room out and settled everything they both sat down on the bed. Neither of them looked up at first, both pretty nervous, both wondering what to say first.
"I'm sorry," Tzuyu spoke first and looked at Chaeyoung who looked up. For the first time in over a month, they finally made eye contact that lasted longer than a second.
"It's okay, really," Chaeyoung said, smiling nervously.
"No, I mean, I'm sorry for avoiding you and making you go through all of this..." Tzuyu started, "I should also apologize to the others for making them have to watch all of this. But I can do that later, I know you were trying to talk to me. I was just too afraid and couldn't muster up enough courage to face you."
"It's alright, Tzu," The other girl said softly, "I understand, it takes a lot of courage to confess to someone."
"I, yeah, I suppose so..." Tzuyu said, her voice trailing off.
The both of them sat there again, in silence. Tzuyu was caught up in what she should say next and Chaeyoung just stared at her with an unreadable expression. Tzuyu back at her and into her eyes and she became worried again after seeing another unreadable expression.
"I was worried, ya know?" Chaeyoung said and Tzuyu frowned at her before shooting her a questioning look, "You ran off and I knew you were drunk so Jihyo ran after you after I told her that you drank most of the wine."
"Ah...right...haha..." Tzuyu said quietly, drowning in the embarrassment that was now consuming her.
"I know we're supposed to be talking out this whole thing but can I tell you a short story?" Chaeyoung asked and Tzuyu frowned but nodded, "When I was fifteen, I was best friends with a girl named Somi. In fact, we're still best of friends...it was her wedding that I went to after that meeting about Nayeon's comeback party."
"Oh, right," Tzuyu remembered the red dress Chaeyoung was in, she smiled at the memory.
"I had a crush on her back then," Chaeyoung confessed and Tzuyu felt a twinge of jealousy which she probably shouldn't have felt, "I confessed to her and, well, she rejected me."
"Wait, how could anyone not like you?" Tzuyu asked and Chaeyoung smiled at that.
"Well, she liked me but just as her friend," Chaeyoung explained, "After I confessed, it was a little awkward but we overcame it and stayed good friends. My point is, no matter what I want you to know that I always want to be with my friends, Tzuyu, I know that was one of your worries."
"Yeah, it is, well, was I guess..." Tzuyu trailed off.
"Did that clear up a little bit of your anxiety? Because I actually-" Chaeyoung started but Tzuyu interrupted.
"So does this mean you don't like me back in the same way?" Tzuyu asked, there was hurt in her eyes and she felt her throat tightening.
"Wait-" Chaeyoung tried to cut her off but Tzuyu rambled on.
"I mean, it's okay if you don't," The taller girl said, her voice tight and her eyes shining from tears forming in her eyes, "I understand and I don't want you to force yourself to like me or anything. I know I'm not very bold and it seems like I'm only fun around the others. I know I can be pretty quiet or reserved and the only times I seem to be happy is when I talk to dogs-"
"Tzuyu, no-" The shorter girl tried again but she continued.
"And I always make short jokes. I'm also not very good at expressing my feelings, the others always make fun of my blank expressions when I'm in the background just staring off into who knows what-"
"TZUYU!" Chaeyoung yelled and shocked Tzuyu.
The shorter girl huffed and shook her head as she shimmied closer to her. Tzuyu, slightly anxious about what was happening was frozen. Chaeyoung cupped the younger girl's cheeks in her hands and sternly stared into her eyes.
"I'm going to kiss you," She stated boldly and Tzuyu just nodded, getting lost in her eyes.
Chaeyoung softly pressed her lips against Tzuyu's and after a second of pure shock, she reciprocated the kiss. It was soft and a little weird but not in a bad way. Her mind was just blank and her insides melted. When Chaeyoung pulled away and Tzuyu opened her eyes and she saw her smiling at her.
"I do like you, Tzuyu," She confessed, "I probably should've started off with that instead of my story. But I do like you Tzuyu, I really like you, a lot. I probably should've immediately said it back when you confessed but I was just so shocked that you liked me back."
"Oh," Tzuyu breathed out, "That's cool...that's great..."
Chaeyoung laughed at Tzuyu's dazed expression which then changed to a happy expression after hearing her laugh. Tzuyu wrapped her arms around the smaller girl and pulled her closer.
"Then...can I kiss you again?" Tzuyu asked sheepishly and Chaeyoung smiled before wrapping her arms around Tzuyu's neck.
"Of course, you don't need to ask," She whispered as they closed the gap between them with another soft kiss after another.
(Kiss and make up.)
