Chapter 5. She Makes You Feel Special

It has been another three months since Tzuyu started working at TWICE Entertainment, a little over a total of six months of being the star rookie idol, Im Nayeon's manager. Things have slowed down a little since, she doesn't know if it's because they're in a hiatus or if it's because she got used to the work. Before, during the first four months, it was late nights and tired days all the time. Tzuyu could've sworn she was starting to become nocturnal but recently, all of the gigs have been mainly during the day. Although, it isn't physically hectic and there is no cramped or crazy schedule, things are still very interesting. After the Christmas party, Jeongyeon and Nayeon revealed themselves to be dating, which Tzuyu (sadly) already knew. Of course, they have to keep it a secret but it was still news to the others. They even told Jihyo who held them in her office for two hours going over proper ways to act in public and going over all the company's rules. After that, whenever it was just them, Jackson, and Tzuyu driving around...they were inseparable. But unlike a sappy "normal" couple, they nagged at each other like an old married couple before resolving whatever issue they had as fast as it happened. 

Today, there was no schedule. It was basically a three day weekend because it was Friday and surprisingly, Jeongyeon asked the younger girl to hang out with her. Suspiciously, Chaeyoung was hanging out with Nayeon. 

"So...why'd you want to hang out?" Tzuyu asked as they walked through the mall.

"Can't a gal just hang out with her pal?" Jeongyeon asked, smiling, but Tzuyu wasn't fooled.

"No but isn't Chae your No-Jam bro?" The taller girl asked as they rounded a corner.

"Yes, she is, but you...are my protégé and as your mentor...we have to address something!" Jeongyeon announced and she pulled out a chair, pushed Tzuyu down and sat in the chair across from her. 

"Huh," Tzuyu blinked and she realized they were sitting in a seating area in front of a Dunkin' and Jeongyeon winked at a cashier who made her way to them. She had two Boston cream donuts and two medium iced coffees. 

"It's about you and Baby Beast," She explained as she sipped her coffee, "It's painfully obvious that you like her."

"Huh? What? N-no? We're just friends, I don't, I-" Tzuyu stuttered and sputtered words until Jeongyeon raised her index finger and wagged it back and forth in her face.

"Nay, young Padawan! The feels are strong in you, your actions and eyes cannot deny it!" Jeongyeon said in a deeper voice, "Feelings for her, do you not?"

"Hey, I'm Yoda, stick to being a Qui-gon or Kenobi," Tzuyu frowned before getting back onto the topic she dreads, "Anyways, even if I did have feelings for her...I know she can't possibly have feelings for me. We met like six months ago, only idiots like me fall in love on first sight and keep falling when they get to know the person."

"Oh even more evidence stacked up to prove you're made for each other!" The other girl waves her hands in the air before taking a bite out of her donut, "You're both idiots! I mean, she hasn't told me she likes anyone, but you both give off flirty vibes when you talk."

"Are you sure you aren't feeling your own vibes from when you're with Nayeon-unnie?" Tzuyu sipped her own drink with an eyebrow raised and Jeongyeon shook her head.

"Nope! Our vibes are different from yours, ours is cool, yours is cheesy and cute," She shortly explained and the younger girl frowned.

"Whatever," Tzuyu sighs and Jeongyeon sits up right and looks her in the eyes.

"She makes you feel special, right?" Jeongyeon asked and Tzuyu frowned as she thought about it.

"I...guess?" She answered, thinking about it all.

"Then think about it," The older girl said before saying, "I'm not saying you should rush in, full throttle and tell her 'I love you,' what I am saying, is think about it before this all passes by you."

And with that, Tzuyu could not stop thinking about Chaeyoung.

Well, she was already thinking about the shorter girl a lot but now she was feeling aware. Tzuyu thought about how when Chaeyoung laughed at what she did or said it was loud and wholeheartedly. She thought about that cute yet deep dimple on her right cheek that appeared when she smiled and the little birth mark on the opposite side. She thought about the sparkling orbs for eyes that the girl possessed that seemed to shine brighter than any star. She thought about the strawberry scented shampoo she used that was actually for kids but she insisted it was for people of all ages. She laughed outloud at the last one which caused Jeongyeon who was still sitting across from her to smile and wiggle her eyebrow. Actions in which she ignored. After talking a little bit more about other stuff like Jeongyeon's own relationship, the two parted and Tzuyu made her way home. All the while, still thinking about the girl who's been making her feel special.

Maybe...I do like her...and maybe...I will tell her, she thought as she entered her apartment, tomorrow...I can figure it all out tomorrow.
