Hyun Bin. Engineer. CEO at Vast Construction. 38. Single.

Bin heaved a heavy sigh for the nth time that day, the subtlest way he could express his annoyance to the countless times his cousin, Jo In-sung, used these words to introduce him to their clients that morning. Clad in a designer pearl gray modern-cut wool suit, the dashing CEO extended his hand and forced out a smile that revealed his dimples to the men in front of him.

"Hello gentlemen, good morning, would you please ignore this partner of mine as he's just trying to make fun of me." He said formally, yet still trying to wear his be-dimpled smile.

Mr. Kim, one of the men, laughed at their banter. He actually knew the cousins personally as he is friends with their uncle. He recommended their company for one of his projects and after looking at their profile, he was impressed, hence, the meeting.

"Oh, no need for that, Mr. Hyun. I think I will actually be like In-sung as well, to be honest. I've seen you boys grow up and I'm just as curious as your uncle is as to who will be marching down that aisle first?" He raised his brows, stifling a laugh.

"Well, it's got to be him. I really don't have plans of getting hitched soon." Bin replied, taking the question seriously.

"Mr. Kim, forgive my cousin for being so serious. As to your question, you'll have the invite as soon as I got my girl's yes."

"Oh, so you have a girlfriend now?" Mr. Kim asked In-sung, amused.

"None yet, still trying to win her, though. Just like what we'll do this morning, trying to get you say yes to us?"

Bin smirked. His cousin really has it. Thankfully, as annoying as he could be, he can really charm his way into their clients, and he can endure his antics, if only for that. Bin has the talent, skill and expertise, but selling their projects is just too much for him, hence In-sung in the picture. They were like brothers, and though being part of a chaebol family, they chose to venture on their own business. Luckily, their grandfather understood that not all of his grandchildren will run the family business, only the "called ones" would, and he let them decide what path they'd like to take. And Bin was proud of his family because of this, and strived to excel in his chosen field in gratitude to his loving grandfather and family.

And so, after finishing his engineering degree at Yonsei University, he eagerly travelled abroad to expose himself into the construction business, gaining experience while at the same time, starting to build with In-sung their dream company. He's been going back and forth to South Korea not until last year when he was needed to settle down in Seoul as their company became established. They had stable connections overseas and now, their business is thriving.

His family was surely happy and proud of the both of them, but in every family gathering since the past year when he returned, he had been boggled with such questions very much alike to Mr. Kim's a while ago.

"When are you finally settling down?"
"You have established your own company, now, it's time to establish your own family!"
and so on...

Bin understands them all, yes, but sometimes hearing those words over and over again just really hits his nerve. He has explained to them his view of marriage, that he's not the committing type, but they just totally ignore him, most especially his mother. Having him as her only child, she seemed to be determined to have him settle in the not so distant future. So, in the one year he's been in the country, his life has been in a cycle of work, family gathering, blind dates, and dating.

In the past year, the two blind dates his family set up for him resulted in two relationships, albeit, both short-lived. And he knew it even before they started. Don't get him wrong, those blind dates usually results in follow up dates, and he can clearly feel the girls to be all out for him, even in their initial meeting. So he's been honest with them, that he's not the commitment-type guy. But they persist. They wanted to have him as their boyfriend. So he laid his cards at the start, giving them a warning that again, he's not into it for the long run..but they still wanna try.
