The brothers were leading the horse with the old goat on it through the windy desert. Once the old goat did the ritual with the golden beetle the cave of wonders was opened.
"Who disturbs my slumber?" It asked.
The cup brothers' eyes went wide at this, "It is I, Cuphead and my brother Mugman." He spoke.
The cave lion's white eyes squinted at the two as if scrutinizing them, "Hmmm, proceed. Touch nothing but the lamp."
The mouth of the cave opens up with a roar, and a staircase appears in front of the brothers.
They both looked at the stairs as they were cast in a golden glow down below. Both seeming unsure to go down, Mugman looked back at the old goat.
"Remember, boys--first fetch me the lamp, and then you shall have your reward." He said in a hoarse voice.
"C'mon Mugman. Let's do this." Cuphead said as he walked closer to the mouth of the cave with Mugman following closely behind him.
Cuphead begins to descend the staircase with his brother and once they've reached the bottom, they had entered a golden chamber filled with treasure.
"Would ya look at that!" Mugman called out looking around the room in awe.
"Just a handful of this stuff would make us richer than the sultan!" Cuphead said looking at all the jewels and gold around them.
Cuphead's eyes were covered with greed when he sees the treasure when he walked over to it and reaches his hand out to grab some----
PARRY!
"Cuphead! Don't...touch...anything!" Mugman hissed, "We gotta find that lamp."
Cuphead rubbed his head, his brother really slapped the greed out of him.
Cuphead followed his brother as they made their way through the room and passed by a carpet that laid flat on the ground as they passed It.

The purple-golden carpet rises off the floor and begins to follow them, so does a small green lizard.
The cute small lizard climbed up on Mugman's leg and he shrieked, "Cuphead! Something is climbing up my leg!"
Cuphead turned towards his little brother and saw two big green eyes staring back at him from underneath the mug's pants' leg.
"It's just a baby lizard Mug." He told his brother.
Mugman looked down and saw the green lizard, "Well it seems scared." He said cradling the frightened lizard in his hands, "I'm gonna call you Lou! Little stole away."
