Meanwhile, back at the palace (Y/n) was in her room. The young (s/c) girl was sitting on her bed, next to (tiger pet's name) who looks upset that their caretaker and best friend isn't smiling.

Elder Kettle was standing outside her door looking at the whole thing, he walked inside and looked at her with a caring look, "(Y/n)? Oh, my child. What's wrong?" He asked.

The princess closed her eyes to hold back her tears, "Devil...has...done... something...terrible." she managed to say before her voice started to crack.

She could feel the tears threatening to spill out and her throat tightening up remembering the awful things Devil said.

Elder Kettle sat on the other side of her and rubbed her back gently as she leaned her head on his chest sniffling.

"There, there, there, my darling child--we'll set it right. Now tell me everything." He said gently while holding her in his arms.

While (tp/n) nuzzled their head into her side as she slowly rubbed them on their head.

She hoped there was still time to fix this...

Cuphead and Mugman were laid down unconscious on the carpet inside the cave. Lou, Mugman's lizard was trying to wake them up by smacking them with his tail and making weird loud squeaking noises to wake them.

Carpet rises, lifting the brothers and they slowly regain the consciousness and started to wake up.

"Oh, my head." Cuphead groaned rubbing the side of his head.

"Speak for yourself bro. It felt like a boulder landed on my head." Mugman said rubbing his head as well.

Cuphead rolled his eyes, "And it should since it's your fault that almost got us killed."

Mugman pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes in irritation, "You're gonna hold that over my head? Okay fine." He looked at the entrance and saw that it was sealed in. "We're trapped."

Cuphead clenched his fists and shook with anger hearing about the sealed entrance, "That two-faced son-of-a-jackal!" He sighed and calmed himself down.

"Whoever he was, he's long gone with that lamp."

Mugman leaned over next to him with his growing smirk, "Or does he?" He pulled out the Magic Lamp from inside his vest pocket.

Cuphead grinned at him, "Why, you sneaky little thief!" He took the lamp from his brother's hands, "Maybe I could forgive you for that stunt you pulled."

He examined the old trinket, "Looks like such a beat-up, worthless piece of junk. Hey, there's something written here, but it's hard to make out."

Cuphead started rubbing the lamp to get rid of the dirt that was on it. Suddenly red smoke comes out of the hole, the lamp begins to shake and glow, but Cuphead held onto the lamp, and you guessed it, the genie comes out.

"Aaaaahhhhh! OY! Ten-thousand years will give ya such a crick in the neck!" He said stretching out his body. He hangs Cuphead and Mugman on some nearby rocks. Then he pulls his head off and spins it around, yelling as he does this.

Carpet pulls the brothers down, "Whoa! Does it feel good to be outta there!" Genie uses the lamp end of himself as a microphone, "Nice to be back, ladies and gentlemen. Hi, where ya from?"

He sticks the mic in Cuphead's face, "What's your name?"

Cuphead blinked and stuttered a bit, "Uh, Cu---uh---Cuphead."

"Cuphead!" A neon sign lights up with Cuphead's name on it, circled by chase lights.

The sign changes to reflect the Genie's aka Djimmi's upcoming line, "Hello, Cuphead. Nice to have you on the show. Can we call you 'Cup?' or maybe just 'head?' or how bout 'Cappy?' "
