"Is Aaron okay?" I asked. We sat around the table with our findings from the successful mission. "Okay? Man, you should've seen him!" Stewart sounded pretty impressed by whatever Aaron had done. It was around midnight.
"What did he do and.. why does he look like.. that now?" Molly asked, gesturing to Aarons room. Stewart explained what happened to the best of his abilities. "Woah." I decided. "Woah is an understatement." Stewart sat back down.
Then Aaron tumbled out of his room in a very unflattering way. I didn't tell him how dumb he looked. "Dude get over here. What happened in there?" I gestured for him to join us. He gave me a quick confused look as he sat down. "What did you do and.. why do you look like this now?" I asked him.
"Oh that. I was heading down a hall and spotted some flashlights, called Molly quickly then got noticed by the guards. After that, I'm not entirely sure." Aaron seemed fairly confused with his own lack of memory. Stewart retold what he saw. "I should be able to remember something like that." Aaron didn't seem to know what to do.
"Hold on. You don't remember your badass fight. Jason doesn't remember whatever happened in the gym. Could this be connected in some way?" Scott laced his fingers together. "Theres only one similarity there. It could be, but it's unlikely." Molly shook her head.
"I.. I remember one thing from the gym. It's really fuzzy though. I'm pretty sure at some point I had the black coat with the lights," Jason spoke up. "And at another, I think I had the silver.. coat.. thing." "So Jasons pretty sure he had the appearance change as well. There. That's two similarities." Scott stated.
"But why does Aaron still have the change, but Jason doesn't?" Molly asked. "Jason. What else do you remember?" I asked him. "Hmm.. Red. And I think blue. And black. Definitely black too, with a lot of pain," He stared at the table in concentration. "Aaand.. something about Katie dressed as a cartoon traffic light?"
Nobody had a response. "Let's think about it in the morning. And tomorrow, lets review the plans we stole." I decided. We all agreed and headed off to our respective rooms. And Scott decided to sleep on the couch because of a huge spider in his room.
I slept pretty good. Until I woke up. I tried to go back to sleep but.. everything was off. I pulled up my phone and looked at the date. "Monday?" I whispered to myself. Had I really slept through Sunday? I decided to go ask Jason.
I opened the door quietly and looked from left to right. To the right was just the kitchen and living room. They both seemed empty from what I could see. To the left were the rest of the rooms. I walked past Stewarts door and to Jasons.
I looked at the other doors. Next to Jasons was Mollys. At the end of the hall was Aarons, then finally on the right wall was Scotts room. Everything just seemed so wrong. I knocked on the door. I got no response and assumed he was asleep. So I obviously opened the door.
There was nobody there. I forced down a bit of fear and turned back to Stewarts door. I knocked fairly loudly. I got no response and opened the door. We don't lock the doors. Once again, the room was empty. I felt myself beginning to shake a bit as I went to Mollys room.
She always wakes up when you slam on her door. So I did. Loudly. I once again got no response. I slowly opened her door. She'd kill me if I just suddenly was in her room. But she wasn't there.
I didn't bother alerting my presence before throwing open Aarons door. As you may guess, the room only had furniture. I tried to choke back my fear as I turned to the final door. I didn't even use the door handle. I just kicked the door in. And yep. Nobody was there. Not even the spider.
I walked into the living room and looked around. There was still nobody. "Guys? Guys where are you?" I called out. The house was way too quiet. "Guys this isn't funny anymore." I don't get scared easily, but I was probably going to cry soon. I then searched the bathroom, and found a whole lot of nothing.
