I smiled. Put my head down. Turned around, and stepped out into the bright afternoon sun. I stood there for a minute to adjust to the brightness. Thinking in my head, I realized that we couldn't move 'Chior to a hotel until the sun went down. If we did it right now, it was going to be even more complicated than it needed to be. I start walking back to Mickey D's. When I got there, some people had went to seperate booths and tried going to sleep, some people were sitting on tables leaning against a wall or window on their laptop or phone, a group of people were back in the corner listening to the radio, and a few people were at the tables where everybody had been sitting an hour ago. Almost like before, the door shuts and people look up at me. Only this time, its the ones close to me as friends. I make eye contact with only three: Hannah L.,Alex, and Hannah A. I look at them long enough to know that I needed them to follow me. I didn't stop to do it, but they still understood. They got up, and followed me all the way to the back. I turned to look at them, and I quietly started telling them what needs to happen in the next few hours.
"Im'll head out here in a few minutes to find minutes to go and find a couple of cars that'll crank."
All but one of them, Hannah A., looked at me like I was better off in a mental institution.
"Don't look at me like that. One of y'all's bright idea of sticking him into a pool with a few comforteers and a couple of sheets has got him wanting out." I say.
They stopped looking at me like I was crazy. I continued.
"So the plan is: Like I said, I'm'll go out. Try to find a couple cars that'll crank with a good amount of gas in them. I'm going to take one, come back this way. Pick Hannah up," I said, pointing to Hannah A., "I'm gonna drop you off with the other car so you can drive it back here. I'm going to pick the other Hannah up and we are going to go pick up supplies for the rest of us. By the time I get all that situated, I'm going to need all three of you."
"What for?" Hannah L. asked.
"I'll explain then."
With that, we went our separate ways. I walked out the back door. Who of all was involved were the only people who needed to know.Walking out the front would only create questions that didn't need to be answered. Which would create more. If I walked straight out the back for a little ways, I had a straight shot where nobody could see me. I took it. Then I doubled back and walked through the back door of the pool shop and walked over to 'Chior.
