It all started in a McDonald's. It was abandoned, but hey, it worked fine. We were at a McDonald's, me and my friends and sisters, Hannah L., Hannah A., Hannah D., Alex H. Alex and Hannah L. were my sisters. Well, I call them my sisters. We arent blood related or anything, its just if they were my sisters, we'd probably get along better than me and my blood brother does. But anyway, we were hanging out in the McDonald's, or at least what used to be a McDonalds. Here's what happened that day:

It wasnt long after everything had been taken over and everything had that Red Dawn vibe to it. And, amazingly, only the kids were left. Nobody over the age of 21 had survived. Me and my friends decided to go out and see what was left standing in our hometown. We didn't find very much. We stood silently in front of what was left of our houses and hoped and prayed to God that things would get better. Only they probably wouldn't. It had been 3 weeks since the end. Not much had happened since then. We came across the old McDonald's. So many hangouts had happened there. So many jokes had been tossed at each other. We all passed them by because we all knew that they were just jokes. We had pranked our exes, and the sad part about that was, the employees had helped us prank them. they let us try and get their order wrong, make them pay 27 cents for the sauce that they never got with the McNuggets that they ordered to start with. Good times. Only now there was no people. Or so we thought. We sat down at the table where things had begun. I went to go check for anything in the back like everybody else does when they are in an abandoned building, the whole time wanting to turn back because of the saying "curiosity killed the cat." But then I found food. And drinks. I went back to the table with a couple of two- liters and some bread. They had that look on their faces. The look  saying "Are you insane?" I ignored the feeling that they thought I was insane. I knew everything hadn't gone bad yet, and I was starving, so I went to the counters, grabbed a few medium cups, and poured me some Dr. Pepper. What was to happen next, would make me happier than all of my other friends for a good long time. Only I didn't know that it would happen yet. But when it did, my jaw dropped. And I almost walked out the door and didn't look back.
