It was morning and I was just getting back from my little trip to go to the royal meeting from our relm to talk about... something I rather not talk about nor think about. When I got to my cave I saw a small girl. She was bloody and bruised. It looked as if she had been through something terrible. I landed with a slight thump and peered down at her. She smells so familiar... The little girl had tears streaming down her face, she slowly opened her eyes and looked at me.

"Whoa! A real live Dragon!" She marveled. The girl flinched as she got up. How in the living hell did she get those wounds?! "Why are you here young one?" I asked softly, not wanting to scare her. "O-oh... I ran away..." She replied shyly. "How did you get those awful wounds Child?" I asked now more than worried, I was seathing, who in the living hell would do that to a child. "U-um... I don't want to talk about it... Let's just say it's the reason I ran away." She spoke even softer than before. The girl rubbed the back of her neck with an arm that didn't look too damaged, but still had a small bruise here and there. "Well then let's get those wounds healed, shall we?" I spoke. She hummed and followed along..
*they walked deeper into the cave to see a stone door*
I turned into my human form and unlocked the door. I picked her up and went and set her on a wooden table. The poor girl looked at me with amazement as I walked around in my human form. I grabbed some healing herbs and brought them over to her. I used both herbs and magic to heal her wounds. "Um Mr. Dragon, what is your name?" She looked at me with the cutest confused look I've ever seen in my lifetime.
"My name is Igneel," I chuckled and gave a toothy grin. She gasped and smiled at me with her own little toothy grin. "What's your name, little one?" it feels like honey is just dripping from her eyes. "Lucy! ...Heartfilia..." She said her last name with disgust. I recognize that smile and first name... Not so much the last name... Oh well, I'll figure it out at some point. "Say... Would you like to stay here and learn dragon-slaying magic? I asked. I can sense her magic power is of a plentiful amount, more than me actually... very similar to my mate's magic "Would that make you my daddy?" Lucy asked me with stars in her eyes. "I guess-" I shrugged "I mean if you want me to be I'll gladly adopt you as my own." I replied softly. It hurts to think about having a child when I'm not allowed to look for my own hatchling.
"Yay!" She pipped in excitement. Damn she's already making my heart melt. maybe this won't be so bad... After I finished healing her she jumped into my arms. "Thank you, Daddy!" She nuzzled into my chest. I pet her head gently. "Your welcome my little ball of sunshine." I smiled softly.
