Hey guys! I'm soooooo sorry that I have not updated. My Final Exams are going on. It stretches from the 1st of March to the 31st of March! I know, long right? But I guess it is reasonable because I have 11 subjects. Anyway, enough 'bout me. Let's get right into it, shall we? Oh, and this chapter is dedicated to Beauty847. Thank you for all your support! Love you!

"Why don't we head back to Hogwarts, and take a walk around the black lake?" Draco suggested. Hermione's eyes lit up. "Yes, that would be great!" She said. Draco smiled and held out his arm. Hermione took it and Draco apparated them back to Hogwarts.

Once Hermione's feet landed back on the ground and she caught her breath, she took in where they were. Draco had apparated them directly to the lake. "Um...How did you do this?" Hermione asked. "Do what?" "How did you apparate us directly inside Hogwarts grounds?" "Oh! Mcgonnagal made an exception for us," Draco said. "Then why did we not apparate from Hogwarts directly to the extremely over-priced restaurant in Diagon Alley?" Hermione asked suspiciously. Draco laughed. "Ever so curious...I didn't apparate us directly because I wanted it to be a surprise. If we would have apparated from Hogwarts, then you would have deduced that we weren't going to Hogsmede," the blond said. Hermione looked impressed. "Smart..." she muttered under her breath. Draco heard this and chuckled, saying, "You forget that I am almost as smart as you. I was just one mark behind you, throughout the years." "Yeah, but one mark behind is still behind," Hermione said cheekily. Draco made an action to grab her, but Hermione slipped away, running ahead of him. Draco ran after her, trying to catch her. "You can't catch me! You can't catch me!" Hermione sang at the top of her voice. "Hah!" Draco said, just as he finally caught Hermione's waist, pulling her towards him. Hermione barreled straight into his chest. They both stood like that for a few seconds to catch their breath, but Hermione pulled away just as she realized the position they were in. She really didn't want a repeat of 'The Night' as they called it. Hermione really enjoyed Draco's company and didn't want to avoid him again if she kissed him.

Draco noticed Hermione's reaction to the way he held her. He knew that she wasn't ready for a full relationship with him, and hence, let her slip out of his grip. He enjoyed this evening with her immensely and wasn't about to ruin the progress that they have made.

Both of them slowly made their way along the lake. "So...What did you do all summer?" Draco asked, trying to initiate small talk. Hermione's face darkened when he asked this, but Draco didn't seem to notice. "Um...I was in Australia..." she said, hoping he wouldn't ask any further. Her prayers went unanswered as he asked curiously, "Why Australia? I thought you would be back at home with your parents, celebrating the end of the war." Hermione took a deep breath. Draco noticed her apprehension this time and said quickly, "You don't have to if you don't want to," "No no! It's okay. I was in Australia searching for my parents. I had obliviated their memories of me before the war so that they weren't targetted by Death Eaters. I made them believe that they don't have any children and that they always have wanted to go to Australia," she said. Draco's eyes widened at this. "You- You made them forget that they had a daughter?" he asked disbelievingly. Hermione nodded. "It was the only way to keep them safe. But now that the war is over, I am hoping to find them and restore their memories." "Wow...I still can't believe the measures you took to keep them safe. Hey! Let me accompany you the next time you go and search for them. I also have a few contacts in the Ministry, I can send a few Patronuses and see if they can find your parents." Draco said. Hermione turned to him. "You-You would do that for me?" she asked. "I would walk through fire for you Hermione," Draco said softly. Hermione blushed at this. "Oh hush you! That's so cheesy!" she said, trying to keep her voice teasing. But Draco, the master of hiding emotions knew that it had gotten to her. He grinned and said, "Oh but you love it," "Uh-huh. And how do you know that?" Hermione said challengingly. "Hermione, I am the master of hiding emotions. Literally. I can tell that you loved it," he said, looking amused. Hermione just laughed and pushed his arm.
