Three months had passed, and Draco and Hermione had gotten closer, and so had their friends. Harry and Ginny, still wanting to be a part of Hermione's life, made an effort to get to know the Slytherins, and were impressed. It was clear that they really had changed and were nicer. Slowly the friendship grew between them. For the first month or two, the whole school was buzzing with the latest gossip. It was either Hermione and Draco's relationship on their mouths or the Chosen One's new found friendship with the Slytherins (Draco, Pansy, Blaise, Theo). Slowly, the group started sitting in the same table for breakfast, lunch and dinner, either on the Gryffindor or Slytherin table. After a while, the students got used to this, and no one said a thing, except perhaps an annoyed glance from a few people from the table they decided to sit on.
Today was an extremely special day for Hermione. Draco had promised to take her somewhere special today and she couldn't wait. As soon as she woke up, she headed downstairs to the Common Room. She called for Draco, so that they can make their way to the Great Hall for breakfast. It was Sunday today, so most people would have breakfast and head to Hogsmeade. "Coming Hermione! One second!" came Draco's voice. Hermione smiled at that. While she was waiting, her mind wandered to all the fun times she and Draco had shared together. Of course, she and Ronald had kept their distance, but that didn't bother her as much as she thought it would. She was always busy, whether with Draco, or with her friends (with the new addition of the Slytherins) or studying, but she had never felt happier in her life. "Hey! Sorry for the delay. I was just setting something up," Draco said, coming down the stairs.
"Wait you're telling me that that was you? You and Weasel came into the Slytherin Dorm as Crabbe and Goyle and actually got information out of me?" Draco asked incredulously. Of course, Draco already knew about all this, but only Hermione knew this. he was in no hurry to tell Harry and the others his entire history. So, he played along. Harry chuckled and glanced at Hermione. "That's right. And you gave us information that helped us too," Harry said. Draco let out a breath. "What about you? Why didn't you come?" Draco asked, turning to the beautiful witch sitting next to him. Actually, Draco didn't know the answer to this question, and was genuinely interested in knowing the answer. Hermione blushed deeply at that. "I uh- couldn't come," she said, hoping that Harry wouldn't reveal what happened. Her prayers went unanswered as Harry laughed at that comment and said, "Right, of course. She couldn't come because she had transformed into a cat," "What?" Draco, Theo, Pansy and Blaise asked at once. Hermione glared at Harry, sighed deeply and grumbled, "I was supposed to come too, as Millicent Bulstrode, but the hair that I pulled out from her robes was cat hair, and not her's, so I half transformed into a cat," Draco's eyes widened at that. "You half-transformed into a cat? How is that possible?" Pansy asked. "Polyjuice Potion only works on humans, not animals. So I had a cat face and fur all over my body, and even a tail, but I didn't shrink, so I half-transformed into a cat," Hermione explained. "You had a tail!?" Draco gaped. Hermione giggled at that. "Bloody hell...A cat...." Blaise muttered.
Today was not only a special day for Hermione and Draco, but also for another ginger, who went by the name Ronald Weasley. Finally, his brew of Polyjuice Potion was ready. It took him three months instead of one because he didn't have any help, nor did he have Hermione. He had messed it up twice, before he got it right, but never mind. It was ready now. And he had a perfect plan. "Polyjuice Potion only works on humans, not animals. So I had a cat face and fur all over my body, and even a tail, but I didn't shrink, so I half-transformed into a cat," he heard the love of his life tell those bloody Slytherins. The group had decided to sit at the Gryffindor Table today, so Ron had the perfect advantage to listen in to their conversation and find out where Hermione and Ferret were going today. "So, Draco, where are you taking my sister today?" Harry asked. Draco smiled and said, "Sorry Harry, can't tell you. But I'm sure Hermione would love to after we return," he replied casually. "Oh come on! At least give us a hint!" Ginny complained. Yes, please, give us a hint, Ron thought. Draco sighed and pulled out his wand. He turned to the confused witch next to him and cast a quick Muffliato Charm on her and turned to his friends. "Hey! Not fair!" Hermione said, but no one released the spell. "So here's my plan..."
