Disclaimer... I do not own Percy Jackson or Harry Potter. I am merely a peasant compared to them. The characters belong to Rick Riordan and J.K. Rowling.

They were currently in Gringotts. Harry was still getting over the fact that he really was famous. Hagrid had told him to cover his scar up if he was going to be uncomfortable with all the staring. So Harry did just that.

But the Goblins were still staring at them, no matter how much Harry hid behind Hagrid and his cloak. and believe me, it was a Big Cloak.

Percy on the other hand was struggling between enjoying and pitying at the sight of his brother. He had simply shoved his hands in his pockets and occasionally looking over to Harry lest he completely merged with the cloak. But the grin was knocked off the moment they reached the head table.

"Welcome Perseus." the head Goblin greeted with ever so cheerful (Read... Monotone) voice they have. Percy looked at the Goblin with wide eyes and Harry finally understood the Goblins do not know who he is...yet. They all were looking at Percy.

"Hi?" Percy blinked in confusion. Do the Goblins know every wizard that walks in the vaults. It must be, or else what made Percy so famous?

"I have your vault key and had been alerted you were coming." the goblin gave no other explanation and turned to Hagrid. Percy frowned at the lack of information but kept his silence. Who alerted he was coming? How did the said person know he was coming? Maybe it must be because of the letter Hagrid had sent? Yes, that must be it.

Hagrid had introduced Harry and presented his vault key, a small gold key, and then had presented a letter from Albus Dumbledore. Harry recognized the name as the Headmaster of the school they were about to go to.

First destination was vault 687, the Potter's vault. Harry had picked up the coins following the instructions the goblin, Griphook, had advised him. Then it was time for Percy's vault. Griphook had smirked at Percy as if he knew something that Percy did not, which was true, but as said, Percy did not know about it yet. The Jackson's vault was 614. Only this time, there were four kinds of coins in there. It seemed like someone had shifted the usual three kinds of coins a little to the side and had placed a fourth kind of coin. When Percy had asked about it, Griphook had waved it away, saying it was not necessary now.

And Percy was left just as confused.

Next was wands, and Ollivander had told him about the wand that had chosen Harry. It had to be the twin wand of the person who had given him the scar on his forehead.

"Lovely." Percy muttered under his breath while Harry just stared.

Percy had half a mind to just go to Harry and break it, considering the dramatic back story, but the creepy voice of Ollivander saying 'The wand chooses the wizard' had Percy drilled in the spot.

Next was Percy. Ollivander had taken one good look at him before producing a wand and holding out to him as if it was a bomb. Percy took hold of it and felt a sudden strong smell of sea hit him. Taking a look towards Harry, he somehow came to know that it was only him that could smell it.

"12 inches with Unicorn tail core. This wand will remain loyal to you." Ollivander mysteriously cocked his head to one side slightly, "It is the wand for you Mr. Jackson."

Hagrid returned and broke the silence by banging the glass of the store, making both the brothers jump at the sudden noise. All Hagrid replied was 'Happy Birthday' to Harry had had gotten him an owl named 'Hedwig.'

As they were about to leave, Ollivander called, "And Mr. Jackson?" Percy turned to look at him.

"I recommend a cat. Owls...won't do well with you." he 'recommended.'

Harry did the honour of pulling him out.

"You get you 'recommended' cat and I'll get the cauldrons." Harry told him as he deposited him in the cat store.

"Hello dearrrrr Perrrrsssseussss." came a voice that sounded suspiciously like purrying.

"Ho-How do you know my name?" Percy stuttered.

"I have my waysss. Sssselect yourrr cat." the woman behind the desk said.

Way to not be creepy at all. And Percy simply did what she asked. He picked up the cat nearest to him, who 'coincidently' happened to have the same eyes as him, and gave her to the woman.

"Midnight." Percy said.

"Excellent choice." the woman replied and grinned.

"I did not get your name Miss..." Percy trailed off when he reached the door.

"Why my name is Bast sweet cub." and the door closed on it own.

Very suave.

He met up with Harry, bought the books and robes and made their way back to the Leaky Cauldron. Pretty soon September 1st rolled him and Hagrid ditched two children in the middle of the King's Cross Station without giving them instructions on how to get on the train, or the platform in that case.

It was there they met the Weasleys, ran through a wall and boarded the Hogwarts Express.

Well they are aboard the train and en route to the famed Hogwarts. The train ride will be filled with a lot of candies, a friendship and a rivalry with the same guy, and a toad. Till next time...
