Chapter 26

AN: I am so happy that my ArjunTutah are getting so much love. Where KongArt are  so perfect and almost ethereal, I wanted to make ArjunTutah more grounded, more relatable. Thank you for all the support.

A shorter one today. But next scene a huge so I couldn't fit it in here. This is some PremWad. Enjoy!

Kongpob was leaving his office earlier than usual today so he could meet with his Sunshine. It had been a month since Em's party and the businessman had spent roughly 10 days of it in China. They had had a good tour. Although, negotiations were rocky, they had finally managed to reach a common ground. He had spent a lot of nights at Arthit's apartment since then. Kongpob felt happy with the way the two of them were progressing. He could see his Sunshine opening up to him with each meeting.

The businessman also had his dream date of going to an artists exhibition in the town with Arthit. As expected, his Sunshine was very intellectual about the displayed works. It was one of the best nights for Kongpob.

This night, Kongpob was planning to ask Sunshine to accompany him on a short trip. They could go somewhere pleasant. Kongpob had not gone on a vacation since a long time. Kongpob was excited about this trip. Hopefully, Arthit would agree and they can set agreeable dates for the same.

Kongpob saw his car parked right in front but didn't see Wad leaning against it as usual. He thought Wad was around somewhere because the security chief would never go far away. Wad must have gotten a call or something, the business tycoon thought, as he walked around to look for his friend.

He was approaching the back of the building when he heard muffled sounds. Going alert immediately at such suspicious activity, Kongpob tried to be discreet to see what was happening. He leaned around and was taken aback at the sight. It was Wad and he wass kissing Arthits friend, Prem. Kongpob peaked again to make sure his eyes we're not deceiving him. And yes, there they were Wad and Prem making out, intensely, quite literally eating each other's faces.

Kongpob didn't want to invade his friends privacy, but he could move. It was a few moments later  when he saw Wad roughly push Prem away, and asked, whispering, "What the hell! What are you doing here?" The CEO moved back enough so the two wouldn't see him.

Prem replied, his hands still holding Wad by the arms, "I came to see you. I missed you!"

"What? What the hell Prem!? I thought I made myself very clear! "

The older man surrendered, "I know! No strings attached! I'm not asking for anything more... "

Wad said, "Then you could have messaged me like always and I could have told you when I would be free. "

"I know! But I knew you would be busy and I wanted to see you. It's been two weeks! Why haven't you contacted me till now! "

Kongpob knew he shouldn't be eavesdropping like this. But the fact that Wad had something with the guy he claimed he hated, was really shocking. Arjun had been open about his relationship with Tutah, everyone knew about him and Arthit and now this. A funny thought passed through his mind: Will Em find someone from Arthits circle as well? It was a possibility after all.

Wad was now explaining patiently, " ...ired after the China visit. I wanted to relax and I wanted something so I contacted you. But I have been busy ever since.. I just.. "

"You haven't felt the need. Or you are just avoiding me.. "

Wad audibly sighed, "I told you, you could have messages me... But you can't come here like this! "

"Why not! "

"This is my workplace Prem! Anybody can see us! "

Kongpob could tell Prem was really getting frustrated now, "And why can't they? Our friends are already dating each other, they won't judge us."

"I just don't want them to know! Besides, there is nothing between us. We are just fucking. Or do you.. "

"No no! I don't.  Is it because we are casual that you don't want them to know? Do you think they will pressure you to move ahead that... "

"Yes!" Wad said, a little too fast.

Even from this far, Kongpob could hear how insincere Wads reply was. And the suspicious tone from Prem made it clear that he didn't believe it at all either.

"Or... Is it because if they know about us you will be literally admitting that we are indeed good people and have nothing to hide. You will have to admit that you were a little too fast in judging Arthit..? "

Kongpob peaked a little and could see Wad gaping. His silence was very telling and Prem moved away completely.

"I see. That is how it is.. "

Wads voice was hesitant, "No, Prem. I just... "

"There's no need to explain. How can a bunch of goofy friends compare to the almighty and sophisticated likes of you. Right. I will not be asking for anything from you, neither will I answer. It was fun while it lasted though. Goodbye. "

Kongpob could hear the disappointment in Prems voice and he felt symphathetic. He rushed to take cover when the older man bid goodbye. He then quickly went to his car and decided to wait for Wad. He thought he should give his friend a few minutes before calling him. He knew what happened was Wads fault but he didn't think it was his place to say anything, at least not until Wad comes to him.

Hopefully, Wad will be able to admit his fault and sort things out with Prem. And even though they wouldn't get together, at least Wad had a different perspective now. Hopefully, this whole thing will help Wad see Arthit and his friends in a different light.
