"I really don't understand, it's My birthday! Why would I want him.." Em said, trying hard not to scream.

They were all in Kongpob's cabin and were discussing how they should celebrate Aim's birthday during the weekend.

"Because he's a part my life now and I had hoped you guys would like to know him! And since I don't want him to feel awkward, and since the friends are really tight, I thought we could invite them too!" Kongpob snapped as he stood at his desk. He was getting really irritated with the attitude his friends had towards Arthit.

It had been three weeks now since the brunch date and Kongpob and Arthit had met each other at least once a week. But Kongpob had been out of town for work since past four days and he had hoped he could meet his cute baby soon. Once a week wasn't really enough now. Kongpob seem to carry around with him a sense of longing constantly. It just lingered in the background and the businessman couldn't get rid of it. And then he had to deal with his stubborn friends. Oak just seemed to be standing silently, but Wad was growling beside him. Em just seem constipated. There was a knock on the door and Kongpob gestured for Arjun to come in.

Sensing the tension in the room, the hunky man looked around puzzled. "Is there a problem?"

Oak sighed, "No. We are just discussing birthday party for Em, who turned 25 finally yesterday."

"Ohh. So can't decide on a venue? I can suggest you some very clas..."

Em interrupted, "It's not the place, it's the people being invited that is the problem. .." Arjun swallowed nervously. Em suddenly understood and waved his hands, "Oh no no. You are invited of course!"

Oak chuckled and Arjun grinned. He had always been invited so his thoughts were silly.

"Tell me Arjun, I am seeing someone and it's really serious. Shouldn't I be allowed a plus one?" Kongpob asked.

Arjun nodded, "I think that's fair..."

"It's my birthday. Is it too much to ask if I just want to have my friends around?"

"He has a point.. but then if this Arthit is important to Kongpob, shouldn't you guys make an effort at least?"

"Exactly!" Exclaimed Kongpob.

"Of course you would say that.." Wad mumbled at the same time.

Em came forward and addressed Arjun, "You don't understand. We have no idea why Kongpob is acting this way, but we are trying to protect our friend. We don't like this Arthit."

"Yes," Wad said. When Arjun looked at the stern man, Wad met his eyes sharply, gritting his teeth, "And we don't like his friends either."

Wad's fiery eyes made Arjun gulp and look away. The latter knew it was definitely a jab at him. After all Wad had seen him talking to Tutah at the gallery.

Arjun really felt attacked right now. He had called Tutah and set up a date the next day. Since then the two of them had met three times and had lot of chats on phone and video calls. He realised how Kongpob must be feeling right now, so he decided to side with the boss man.

Arjun looked up with challenging eyes around the room, "You know what? I think you should give this Arthit a chance. A birthday party will be a great setting! And maybe you should invite his friends too, more the merrier, right?"
