50 follower special

Ok so this is a little late. I've been busy and totally forgot to post this Drabble last Friday. It's dedicated to @NaturalAqua who was my 50th follower! This is what she requested and I hope it turned out ok, I don't have any idea about elementals but I tried to make it work and from what Google told me I think it makes sense. Enjoy! (It's not bxb btw) :)

I ran. That's all I could do.

Run.

The urge was to great, the pull towards the lake.

I had to transform, I had to break out of my human shell, to be me again.

I twisted and manoeuvred through the thick branches and vines, the sharp razor like thorns, clawing at my skin like coy fingers, digging their nails into my flesh.

I did not know where I was going, but the pull guided me blindly to my haven, back to my safety.

The forest carried on in a blur, the slivers of silver moonlight he only light source for miles around.

My bare feet stung with brilliant pain, but I knew that once I reached my destination it wouldn't matter. I'd be free from the human pain and damaged to my fragile body.

As these thoughts raced through my head, I heard a soft snap behind me.

Fear shot through me instantly. Someone was following me.

I went faster, not registering the clearing ahead before it was too late. I stumbled out into the open air, crashing to the floor in my knees.

I shakily stood, panic beginning to settle within me.

I spun around wide eyed, scanning the forest edge for any sign of life. I saw nothing, not even a fox or rabbit.

I sighed, relief sweeping over me. I turn back in the directions was headed, and to my joy saw the lake.

"Thank god." I whispered, a relieved smile spreading across my face.

I walked to the waters edge, staring at my moon light reflection in the clear crisp water.

I bent down, scooping a handful I to my mouth, sighing contently as the sweet taste hit my tongue.

I took another handful, slowly feeling my powers restore. I stood up, closing my eyes and beginning my transformation.

Finally.

Just as my body began to glow a ghostly pale blue, I heard panting behind me.

"Aqua! Aqua wait!" their voice cried, and I whipped my head around, gaping at the boy running and panting towards me.

"D-Deadlox?" I breathed, shocked. He leaned his hands on his knees, panting like he had been running a marathon.

"Aqua, thank god! Why did you run like that and-"

He looked up at this point, and his jaw hit the ground. I couldn't stop the changing, my arms and legs becoming transparent, my hair almost steam.

I bowed my head in sorrow, eyes closed as a tear escaped my eye, the only drop of salt water in me.

I loved him, why did fate have to be so cruel?

I opened my eyes to glance at him, ready to see the look of fear or hate.

I was surprised however to see one of pure awe and wonderment, his eyes shining and a huge grin on his awestruck face.

"... You're beautiful." he whispered, eyes studying my aqueous body.

I smiled back at him sheepishly, holding out my hand to him. He looked surprised, and tentatively grabbed my hand.

I giggled at his confused face, to which he blushed and smiled back bashfully.

"Sorry. I just expected my hand to go through you." he muttered, and I intertwined our fingers.

I sighed, looking down at my crystal clear feet pooling on the grass.

"I'm sorry Deadlox I didn't tell you. I just thought you would t want tone with me once I told you I was an elemental." I said, looking up at him guiltily.

He moved closer to me, cupping my cheek with his and, while looking into my eyes lovingly, a soft smirk on his face.

"Aqua, I wouldn't care if you were an elemental at all. I love you so much, for you and everything about you." he breathed, leaning forward and planting a chaste kiss on my lips.

I smiled, tears streaming down my cheeks, tears of happiness.

I kiss him one last time, before taking his hand and pulling him closer to the lake.

I look back at him and raise an eyebrow, summoning the lake water to part, revealing my sanctuary beneath the surface. I smirk at him.

"Ready my love?"
