Jaemoon woke up to a weight on his chest with arms wrapped around his neck, one hand under his head, long fingers tangled in his raven locks.
Cairo was fast asleep on top of Jaemoon's broad chest, almost like a kitten curled up on his human. The medic's face was nuzzled in the crook of the ravenette's neck, warm breath causing goosebumps to rise on Jaemoon's skin. He turned to his side, carefully placing the medic beside him, wanting to see his Doe's face.
How the fuck is he so beautiful?
Cairo truly was the most beautiful person that Jaemoon had ever seen, inside and out. He always had that boxy-smile of his spread wide over his face, treating his soldiers who were hurt with the utmost care and kindness. The nights they spent together will be something that Jaemoon would treasure forever, getting to know this adorable goofball under the stars was simply magical.
He knew that Cairo was a very sensitive person, how he always felt terrible when he saw one of his soldiers hurt even when he had nothing to do with it but yesterday, Jaemoon saw just how strong Cairo could be if he wanted to. Cairo was this bundle of pure smiles and sheer warmth that he practically glowed. He was nothing less than perfection in Jaemoon's eyes.
Jaemoon took his time looking at the sleeping brunette, his eyes lazily skimming across the other's delicate and ethereal features.
Cairo's long eyelashes rested against his smushed cheek, grazing the soft skin gently. His button nose twitched from time to time, scrunching for a second before he went back to his peaceful slumber. His rosy lips were stuck in a pout, letting out little puffs of breath. Now that Jaemoon was this close, he could see a dainty mole on the male's bottom lip, tempting him to kiss it.
Jaemoon sighed, reaching out his hand instead, gently rubbing his thumb across the medic's soft cheek.
You're such an angel, Doe.
His thoughts flitted back to the day before. Saying that Jaemoon was shocked would be an understatement.
Cairo's deep voice had wrapped the mesmerised ravenette in a cocoon, so warm and so comfortable. The fact that he even remembered his love for music and put the time and effort to learn his language just added to that. Never once did Jaemoon feel so special, watching the man he loves singing a song just for him, pleading him to love, pleading him to stay.
I will stay, Doe. I will stay for you.
Jaemoon was pulled back from his thoughts when he felt Cairo move, his brown eyes fluttering open. The Captain watched with fondness as Cairo came to his senses. Cairo's brows were knitted in confusion before his boxy-smile bloomed on his face upon laying his eyes on Jaemoon.
And that was enough to make Jaemoon fall in love with him all over again.
The sun was shyly peeking from behind the grey clouds, its golden glow illuminating Cairo's melanin skin, his eyes turning into gorgeous pools of honey which were drowning Jaemoon in its sweetness, casting a spell on the ravenette. The cold wind blew gently over them, Cairo's caramel-coloured locks getting tousled, compelling Jaemoon to thread his fingers through the silky-softness.
The dandelions dancing delicately to the winter breeze in the backdrop made Cairo look all the more innocent, pure. Jaemoon leaned close, leaving a dainty, sweet kiss on the tip of his Doe's nose, right on top of the little mole residing there.
"Slept well?" Jaemoon asked while moving back, playing with the brown locks in between his fingers.
Cairo timidly nodded, his face flushing that beautiful shade of ruby which the larger male adored when he noticed Jaemoon's stare.
