' BELLA! How much more time do you need to get ready?''
'' Coming. Just give me two minutes.''
'' Bella, you have been telling this for 15 minutes now. Please I beg you, hurry up!''
" Yeah yeah. Done now let's go!"
At school
" You guys go ahead! I just need some things from the locker."
" Okay then, we will be waiting for ya, Bella."
" H- hi."
I turned around to see Noah Knight looking at me. Oh right! He said, hi, but to who? Me? I started looking around hoping that he said it to anyone else.
" Me?" I said pointing my finger to my face.
" Y-yeah. "
" Oh! Okay. Well, what can I do for you? I mean I don't think that you came here to chitchat. I am sorry if I sounded rude!"
" Umm... Look I am gonna be straightforward. I know that I was quite rude to you. I am sorry for that. I think we should get to know each other more. "
O-okay, I didn't see that coming.
" So what makes you think that I want to know you?"
" W-what?"
The look on his face. Oh. My. God. He looked so disappointed and didn't even realize that I was joking. Okay, I think he is serious about it.
" The look on your face. Oh my! It was so funny!"
" What the hell! Do not do that ever again!"
" Okay okay. I am sorry!"
" Okay, so what do you want to do? I mean, we can continue our talk another time. Cause we are already late for our class. "
" Oh right! It totally slipped out of my mind. So....um...-"
" What? No need to be nervous!"
" Um... I want to take you ....out for.... dinner."
" You want to take me out for dinner?"
" Y-yeah."
" Alright, then. "
" Really?"
" Yup.''
" I will pick you up today at 7. Be ready!"
" How should I dress?"
" Don't worry! Anything will look good on you!"
That evening
" Oh my god! My baby is going to her first date!"
" Mom! It's not a date. How many times do I have to tell you that it's just a friendly dinner?"
" Same. "
" No, it's not the same. Now can you please help me pick the dress?"
" Of course, anything for my baby's date. "

If I say that I am nervous, I would be wrong. I am beyond nervous but excited at the same time. It's quite new to me. Having genuine and caring friends, hanging out with them, be taken out for dinner - these all are new to me.
I always knew that I was different. I have been told in my previous school several times that I am not normal. And deep down inside I knew that It was the truth. It's like I am doing everything like everybody else but at the end of the day something doesn't add up, I didn't feel at home with them like I do now.
I quickly pushed these thoughts away from my mind. Cause whenever these thoughts cross my mind, I feel lost.
It has been 15 minutes since I have been waiting for him. He would come, right? He wouldn't leave me hanging, right? No no no! He's not like that. He will definitely come.
So I waited and waited and waited and waited.
But he never came.
