Truth Be Told

(Aria pov)

Zoe had told me this morning that Ryder was coming befor she left to go get him from the airport, and I am freaking out. I know that when he comes I'm going to have a lot of explaining to do, I mean I am almost seven months pregnant with his baby and I have been hiding it from him. A knock on the door breaks me out of my thoughts, knowing it was likely to be Ryder I slowly make my way to the door. I open the door to reveal my self, his breath cought as his eyes landed on my very pregnant self and all I could manage to say was "hey," which you could hear my sadness when I spoke. "We need to talk," he says as he points to my belly. Knowing my grandparents where home I decided it would be best if we went somewhere more private, so I opend the door for him to enter and then grabed my car keys as I tell him, "lets go somewhere more private." We got in the car and I headed down to the beach since it feels nice outside today and it also a good quiet place for us to talk.

We get out of the car and I lead us to a deck not far form where I parked, one we reached it we both took a seat letting our feet dangle. "Aria first I need to know is this our baby," he asked me seriously. "Yes it is," I answer him honestly as I avoid his gaze. "How could you keep this from me, thats my baby to Aria, did you ever think that I might like to know that my baby it still growing inside of you," he asked angrily. "It's not what you think, you told me you didn't love me and then you just left me to morn the loss of our baby alone, after I moved her I found out that I did lose my baby but I was also still pregnant with one, we would have had twins if I hadn't lost one," I say sadly. "Aria I am truly sorry that I did those things to you, letting you go and saying those things to you haunts me every day, I wish I could go back and change things I would have never let you go, Aria please forgive me and let me make it up to you," he says which only cause me to have to fight back tears. "Ryder I can't just forgive you, you hurt me bad and I can't trust you," I say to him which hurts him to hear. "I understand, but I do still want to be here for you and our child," he says to me. "Ryder I don't think its a good idea, I am dating someone else and as far as he knows you are not in the picture," I honestly say. "Well I can tell you now no other guy is going to raise my child, and over my dead body will he or she call him Daddy," he says to me angrily. "Ryder I want keep you from her but you will only be her father, and nothing to me is that clear," I say to him angrily.

After sitting in a much needed silence, we had both had a chance to calm down. "So we are having a little girl," he ask with a big smile on his face. "Yes, would you like to know the name Zoe and I picked out for her," I ask matching his smile. "Of course I would," he says with excitement in his voice. "Our little girls name is Ava Leigh," I say laughing from the amount of excitement he shows. "Aria can I ask about her last name, I know we aren't together but I would really like if she could have my last name," he ask me sweetly. "Ava Leigh Thompson, I think I could get use to that," I say not having it in my heart to tell him no or hurt him anymore than I have by keeping this pregnancy from him. "So when is your next appointment, I would like to come if you will let me," he ask hoping I would say yes. "Its next Tuesday actually and you can come if you want to," I tell him knowing it would make him happy to be a part of the rest of my pregnancy.

When we arrived back to my house Nate's truck was parked in my driveway, I knew he wasn't going to be happy about Ryder being here. "Ryder please don't start anything with Nate when we get in here, he is my boyfriend and I would like it very much if you wouldn't run him off," I say sternly to him. "I promise I want run him off, yet," I say that last part to myself. I walk inside to find Nate sitting in the living room with Zoe watching TV so I walk up to him, put my arms around his neck and when he turns to me I kiss him on the lips gently. "Hey baby where you been," he says but then his face turns angry when he sees Ryder. "Who is he and what are you doing with him?" he ask angrily. "Nate this is Ryder, he is Zoe's cousin and Ava's father," I say quickly. He seems to calm down some when I say he is Ava's father, because he walks up to Ryder puts his hand out to shake Ryder's hand, "nice to finally meet you." After shaking Ryder's hand he grabs mine and pulls me into the kitchen, "Aria I thought you said he wasn't in the picture?" "He wasn't but it wasn't really by choice, I never told him I was pregnant," I say feeling ashamed of myself. "Aria thats low, no matter what he did he didn't deserve to be kept in the dark about something so serious," he says to me sternly. "I know I made a mistake and I am going to try and make up for it by letting him be involved in this pregnancy and in Ava's life as much as he wants to be," I say honestly to him. "I respect that, and I will support your decision as long as he doesn't try and come between us," he says and then kiss me softly on the lips. "Since you have alot going on today I will leave you to it and I will talk to you later," he says to me as he heads out the door.

After he left I took a few minutes to myself before heading back to the living room. "So I am having a major craving for some chocolate ice cream, who wants to take me," I ask with a pouty face. "We will both take you," Zoe says and Ryder shakes his head in agreement. "Good, well lets go then I say as I grab them both by there arms pulling them off the couch and out the door. Zoe insisted on driving us, so we get into her car and headed to the ice cream shop. We arrived within minutes since I only live a couple minutes away from my favorite little ice cream shop. We exit out of the car but by the time I got out Zoe had already made it inside, leaving Ryder and I to walk in alone since he was waiting by my door for me. He held his hand out for me to take so that he could help me out, without really thinking I took it and let him help me out of the car. The moment his hand touched mine sparks ignited between us, and it took me off guard and as soon as I was out of the car I pulled my hand away from him. I knew he had felt the sparks and from the smirk on his face I could tell he knew I felt them too. "Why did you pull away, did I do something wrong, or something right," he says smiling. "You did do anything," I lie quickly hoping that he wouldn't see through it. He leans into me and wispers in my ear, "I know your lying to me, I know you still feel the sparks when I touch you, and I can also bet that you don't feel them with whats his name." Not wanting to tell him the truth or give him any satisfaction for his actions, I decide to ignore him for a while, so I headed inside, ordered my ice cream, and take a seat on the other side of the booth where Zoe was sitting already eating her ice cream. "What took you both so long, I was wondering if you two where ever going to come in," she says to me with a grin playing on her face. "Nothing happened we where just talking," I say honestly but I decided to leave out the details.

A few minutes later Ryder came and took a seat right next to me, but I didn't say anything instead I just continued to ignore him. "why did you leave me outside when I wasn't done talking to you, it's not very nice to treat someone you care about like that," he whispers playfully in my ear making sure only I would here him. Our ice cream was finally brought to our table, and I immediately started eating it so that I wouldn't have to answer him. Since Zoe got her ice cream before us she was sitting there watching our every move. "Something happened between you two didn't it," she asked us curiously. "No," we both said in unison and way to quickly. Zoe rolled her eyes at us and said, "Yeah I'm sure it didn't and that would explain why you two are so jumpy and why you Aria are avoiding him like one single touch from him and you will explode," she says sarcastically. "Serously Zoes just leave her alone, nothing happen between us," Ryder says to Zoe. "Fine whatever you say, just don't think I believe it for even one second," Zoe says holding back laughter. After saying that Zoe got up to go use the restroom which left just Ryder and I alone again. "You know you can't ignore me forever, I can think of plenty of ways I can trick you into talking to me, but I don't think you want me to do them," he says with they same stupid smirk on his face which told me he wasn't lying about making me talk to him, but for some reason it just made me want to see just how long I could keep this up so I continue ignoring him all the way home.

When we got home I thought that I would be able to finaly get a break from Ryder, but no instead my grandparents told him he could stay with us as long as he wants and that they would not have the father of their great granddaughter staying in some hotel. This is going to make this not talking to Ryder game we have going on a lot harder to do since he is going to be around all the time. Deciding since Zoe she has been giving us some crazy looks the whole way home, while Ryder did things to pester me and me just ignoring him like he wasn't there I would tell her about our game, so I pull her to my room so Ryder couldn't hear us, "I have been ignoring Ryder because he said he knows he can make me talk to him, but I am going to prove him wrong and not talk to him until he says he was wrong and then begs me to talk." "So thats what you two have been up to, now all this craziness makes since and I hate to tell you but you will never win, because Ryder is never going to give up" she says lauging at what I had just told her. "So your telling me that you are taking his side over mine," I ask her putting on a shocked face. "Yep, and this is going to be fun to watch" she says as she continues laughing. "We will see about that let the games begin," I say throwing my hands up which only caused her to laugh even harder and not being able to hold it in any longer I burst out laughing too. "What is so funny up here, "Ryder says as he burst in my room on us. "Well Aria here told me about this ignoring game, and she said she was going to win," Zoe says in between her laughter fits. "Oh really is that so, well then I guess its game on," he says to me before turning and leaving us to continue with our laughing fits.

Well this is the end to another chapter, but on the bright side the next chapter will be called Let The Games Begin.
I wonder what all Ryder has up his sleeves, but I guess you will just have to wait and see.
