As we sat down I could feel my heart beating. We started eating, but I barely could. After brunch Max pulled my dad aside as I helped my mom with dishes. They talked for about 30 minuets and I was very nervous. We walked back into the dining room and Max had a worried look on his face. I couldn't focus because my heart was racing. I was going to ask if I should go and get more water when Max got down on one knee and proposed. I had the same reaction as before, but before I said anything, I looked at my dad. He had such a joyful smile that I knew he wasn't faking it. He was genuinly happy about this. I said yes and Max and I kissed. I was so happy. This couldn't have gone better!'
