The Summer Boyfriend

Chapter One

Kelly is a short, curvy, quite 18 year old girl with blonde straight hair and hazel eyes. She lives in Miami in an apartment with her older brother Nicholas who is 25. Their parents passed away about two years ago so she moved in with him. He was a drummer who spent most of his time traveling so Kelly was often left alone. They lived close to the beach which was good because she loved to swim. She spent almost every afternoon at the beach. She just graduation from high school and she wanted to go do something different with her summer. Kelly wanted her summer to be fun and wild unlike her everyday life. And that's exactly what she got.

Kelly put on her unworn tight black dress with the top cut low on and her silver heels. She put on some mascara and eyeshadow, curled her hair, and walked out the door. She headed to the club where she would meet her friends. They all cheered as they saw her exit her car.
"Damn Kelly look at you!" said her best girl-friend Jessica.
"You look so hot!" said her best guy-friend Matt.
"Thanks guy." she said as they all walked to the club door.
Kelly was a little nervous because this was her first time being at a club. They waited for around fifteen minutes in line before entering the club. When they got in Kelly was blinded by the lights. Her friends saw that she needed help so they grabbed her hand and walked her to where they would be sitting.
"Are you alright?" asked Jessica.
"Yeah, why?"
"Because you seemed like a deer in headlights." Matt said while laughing.
Kelly looked around and saw that the club was packed. She didn't feel too comfortable with the way she looked because she was use to wearing jeans not dresses.
"Do you want to dance?" asked Jessica.
"I think I'm going to stay here for now."
"Oh come on." said Jessica.
"I don't like this song." said Kelly.
"I'll dance with you." Matt said to Jessica.
"Ok lets go." said Jessica.
Kelly sat down and watched her friends walk on to the dance floor. She wanted to get up and dance with them but something was stopping her. She felt eyes on her which was another thing she wasn't use to. After the song was over Matt and Jessica pushed Kelly to dance. At first Kelly was not enjoying herself but after she stopped thinking about all the people around her, she really cut loose. They danced and dance until they couldn't feel their feet.
"Let's take a break and sit for a while." said Kelly.
Her friends shook their heads in agreement. Jessica and Kelly decided to go to the restroom and Matt stayed to save their seats. Jessica knowing where the restroom was lead the way and Kelly followed close behind. Because of the club being so packed it was hard for Kelly to keep Jessica in sight. Kelly tried to called Jessica's name but the music drowned out Kelly's calls. Soon she lost sight of her and found herself in the middle of hundreds of strangers. She looked back hoping to see where Matt was but all she saw was bodies. After a while of just standing there getting pushed, she started walking forward again thinking she would soon stumble across the restroom. She kept walking looking down at the floor until a hard mass stopped her in her tracks. She looked up and saw a very attractive man with brown straight hair and blue eyes who had to be at least six foot tall, if not taller.
"Oh, I'm sorry I..." She started saying before being cut off by him.
"No, no Im sorry. I should have moved out of your way." He said leaning towards her ear.
"Well it's kind of hard for anyone to move in here."
"Yeah, it's crazy."
Kelly couldn't help but stare at him. He was eye candy to her.
"I'm Derek." He said as he put his hand towards her waiting for a handshake.
"I'm Kelly." She said as she shook his hand.
"Nice to meet you Kelly. where were you headed to?" He asked as he let go of her hand.
"Oh I was going to the restroom but I don't know where it is."
"Yeah I can tell because the bathroom is at the opposite side of the club." He said still smiling.
"Oh really." She said with disappointment.
"Yeah, if you want I can show you the way." He said.
She wasn't sure about whether or not to go with him but she thought if she didn't she would still be lost in a pile of people and her friends would be worried about her.
"Um, yes please. That would be great."
"Ok." He said as he grabbed her hand and started walking through the crowd of people.
It amazed her how fast he got through the crowd. She looked at how his tight blue shirt showed off his muscles and how his medium size butt seemed to stretch his jeans just a little. She felt her heart race and her mind filled with dirty thoughts. No one has ever had that effect on her. She felt that it was truly Love At First Sight. Her daydreaming was soon stopped by him turning around and looking at her with his breathtaking blue eyes.
"Here we are." He said leaning into her ear.
"Thank you so much. If it wasn't for you, I would still be lost." She said.
"No problem." He said smiling with his straight white teeth.
She smiled back and then they hugged goodbye. Kelly watched him walk away wondering if they would ever see each other again. She then turned around and walked into the bathroom where she found Jessica.
"Oh my gosh. Where were you?" Asked Jessica as she walked towards Kelly.
"I got lost but then I bumped into this really good looking guy and he helped me find my way here." Said Kelly.
"Wait, what? You met a guy?"
"Yes and he was so sweet."
"Did you get his number?" Jessica asked.
"Oh no, was I suppose to?"
"If you ever want to see him again, yes!"
Kelly put her head in her hands and Jessica laughed.
"It's ok honey. Their are plenty of fish in the sea." Jessica said.
After using the restroom and fixing themselves up, they went back to where Matt was sitting.
"What took you guys so long?" Matt asked.
"Kelly got lost but then some charming guy saved her." Said Jessica as she smiled at her.
"Oh get it Kelly." Matt said.
"Well I didn't get his number so I'm never going to see him again." Said Kelly
Kelly made a sad face so Jessica and Matt decide to cheer her up by getting her to dance. After a couple of songs Kelly had enough of the club so they all went home. While trying to go to sleep she couldn't stop thinking about Derek.

The next morning ringing woke Kelly up. She looked for the source of the ringing until she saw that she was getting a call from her brother.
"Hey Nicholas, how is everything?" She Asked.
"Everything is going good, we did a couple shows and everyone seemed to really like it."
"That's awesome. I'm glad to hear that!" Kelly said.
"Yeah I was just calling to check up on you."
"I'm Fine."
"You Sure?"
"Yes." She Answered.
"Ok Then, I'll try to call you again later today." He said.
"Ok, bye. Take care."
"Bye and you too."
She hung up while getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth, washed her face, and fixed her hair. After she ate breakfast she decided to call Jessica to see if she wanted to hang out. Jessica said yes so Kelly got dressed and went to meet her at a coffee shop. She walked in and saw Jessica sitting at a table.
"Hey." Kelly said as she sat down.
"Here you go." Said Jessica as she gave Kelly her favorite drink.
"Oh, thanks."
"Your welcome."
Kelly and Jessica talked, drank coffee, and ate some sweets for a while until they decided to go to the mall. As they were getting up Kelly saw someone that caught her eye.
"Oh my gosh Jessy. It's him."
