"Oh my." Kelly said as she looked around.
The yacht's inside was like a palace. Beautiful wood floors, a staircase leading up to the second story, and elegant furniture. She stood there in the entrance with her mouth dropped. She couldn't wrap her mind around her having a date with an amazing guy in an amazing yacht. She was snapped out of her thoughts when Derek starting walking to the dining room.
"Come this way." He said grabbing her hand.
She looked up and down just mesmerized by the place. She thought about him doing this for her which gave her butterflies. She loved how it felt when he would hold her hand. She couldn't help but think about how it would be if they were together. Then sudden she thought about what Jessica asked earlier. She thought about him asking her to be his girlfriend. She wondered how she would react if he did.
"This is were we are going to have dinner." He said as they walked into a room with a dinner table set up with flowers and candles. She smiled and then looked at him who was already smiling at her.
"This is amazing. All of this is amazing." She said looking into his big blue eyes.
"I'm glad you like it." He said as he pulled a chair out for her.
She sat down, then he sat next to her and put his hand over hers. They looked at each other's eyes until a tall man around his 40's dressed in a tux walked in.
"Good evening." The man said.
"Good evening." Said Derek.
"My name is Evan and I will be your server for tonight." The man said while giving them some menus and Kelly smiled.
"Thank you Evan." Derek said.
"So is there anything you guys would like to drink. We have it all."
"I'll have a coke, and you Kelly?" Derek asked.
"Um, I'll have a coke as well."
"Ok, I'll bring those right out for you."
"Thank you." Said Derek.
"Thanks." Said Kelly as the man walked out of the room.
"So what do you think about the yacht?" Derek asked.
"It's unreal. It's the most amazing thing I have ever seen."
"Well you are the most amazing thing I have ever seen." He said which made Kelly blush.
"That can't be true."
"Kelly, you are gorgeous and it's true." He said while leaning closer to her. "You're perfect."
Kelly looked at his eyes and slowly moved her eyes towards his lips. Derek also did the same as they inched closer and closer together. Kelly just thought about how his lips feel or how he tasted until suddenly the man walked in.
"Oh, I'm so terribly sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt." The man said as Derek and Kelly straighten back to their original positions.
"No, no it's fine." Derek said to the man.
"No, I should have knocked. I'm the one responsible."
"Really Evan, it's fine." Derek said.
"I'm sorry again and here are your drinks."
"It's ok Evan."
"Yes and thank you." Said Kelly.
"Well are you guys ready to order?"
Derek looked at Kelly and saw that she wasn't ready to order.
"We are going to need a little more time."
"Ok well if you need anything, anything at all here is a bell for you to ring and I'll come running." The man said smiling.
"Thank you." Said Derek.
"You're very welcome Sir." The man said then turned around and walked out of the room.
On the outside Kelly was calm and collected but on the inside she was a hot mess. She wanted Derek to get close to her again but she also was nervous. Her heart started racing when she thought about them being alone in the room. She looked at him as he turned back around to her.
"Well that was a little awkward." Derek whispered in her ear.
Kelly and Derek smiled and he put his hand on her cheek.
"I'm the luckiest man alive."
"And why is that?" Kelly asked.
"Because you're here with me." He said as his hand traveled slowly to her shoulders.
Kelly tried to speak but nothing would come out. She closed her eyes while she felt Derek's hand move down her arm. Everywhere he touched her, she would get tingles which would cause her body to release a low gasp. Suddenly she felt his hand lift up and curl around the back of her neck. His thumb swayed slowly back-and-forth on her neck. She kept her eyes closed loving how Derek was making her feel. She soon felt his lips on her neck which caused her to let out another gasp. His lips began to move up her neck and she let her neck fall back slowly. She felt energy inside her building up. She moved her body closer to his and put her hands on his legs. She was consumed in the moment until she thought about Evan being close by. She put her hands on his chest and spoke.
"Derek, I think..." She began as he sat up straight and looked at her. "I think that..."
"I'm sorry Kelly. I wasn't thinking." He said interrupting her.
"It's fine, I just don't want to rush anything." She said while looking down at the table.
Derek placed his hand under her chin and lifted it up gently.
"I don't want you to do anything that you're not ready for. And I also don't want you to think you're just a fling. You're more than that so I got you this." He said as he handed her a little white box with a red bow.
Kelly smiled at him and he smiled back. She carefully opened the box and was shocked at what she saw. It was a beautiful fourteen karat gold necklace that had three little diamonds on it. She knew right when she saw it that the necklace must have cost him a fortune. She looked back up at him.
"It's so beautiful."
"Just like you." He told her which made her smile.
"I don't know if I should except it."
"Why not? The price wasn't bad, but there is a problem."
"What do you mean?" Kelly asked.
"Well I usually give gifts to girls that mean a lot to me, like a girlfriend. So Kelly, I wanted to ask you, would you make me not only the happiest but luckiest man on earth and be my girlfriend?"
Kelly couldn't believe what he just asked her. She thought about everything he's done for her and the feelings she has for him. She thought about how happy he makes her and how good looking he is. She thought of him as the perfect guy. She knew that she wanted to be with him.
"Yes." She finally said.
Derek smiled and hugged her.
"You had me worried there for a little." Derek said which made Kelly chuckle.
They held hands while looking at the menu. When they were ready to order Derek rang the bell and Evan soon arrived to take their orders. Kelly ordered some shrimp with mashed potatoes and Derek asked for some lobster and shrimp. After about twenty minutes of Derek and Kelly talking, laughing, and getting to know each other a little more, the food arrived. The smell was amazing and so was the display. Their dish of food looked like artwork that should be hung up on the wall. The taste of the food was even better. If Kelly didn't already feel like she was in heaven, she felt like it while eating.
"Do you like the food?" Derek asked Kelly.
"Yes, it's amazing."
"Glad you liked it."
After they were done eating they stayed talking.
"So besides your comedian brother, do you have any more siblings?"
"No it's just me and him."
"That's nice. I'm an only child and it sucked."
"Childhood was pretty boring huh?"
"Yeah that and I had no one to blame things on." Derek said and they both laughed.
"Oh yeah. That's when having a brother sure comes in hardy."
"I beat it does."
They stopped and stared into each others eyes. Derek slowly leaned towards her and she did the same. They shared a slow yet passionate kiss until Kelly broke the kiss.
"Are we aloud to walk around."
"Oh yeah this boat is ours for the night." Derek said as he stood up, grabbed her hand and walked out of the room with her.
