Chapter 7

Anthony's POV

Over the past few shows, I'd have to sneak Jasmine in and in turn, she'd help me if I started hyperventilating again.

I spoke to Lin about banning Adam and he completely understood.

By now, all people knew was that I shot my shot. But, I think they're starting to catch on that we're dating because she's starting to taunt me on stage. While they were doing Say No To This, she'd wink at me, during Satisfied she'd arch her back a bit at the parts where she had to bend down in front of me. During TSS, when only I was looking, she'd roll her eyes into the back of her head and open her mouth. Daveed and Oak have been teaming up to see my despair. They'd randomly pick her up and carry her around to get a rise out of me. One time, during SNTT, they held me down and made me sit there and watch the entire thing through without Jas' knowledge. The worse part is that Lin kept messing up, so they'd have to keep doing the kissing parts. Over, and over, and over again.

Soon, Adam was banned from The Public.

After practice, we decided to get Italian food. We ordered one plate of spaghetti, a bowl of breadsticks, and cocktails. We prayed over the food and dug in. When Jasmine and I took a bite of the spaghetti, I quickly realized we grabbed the same strand. We slurped it and everyone watched. Please don't break, please don't break... When we got close, she grabbed some scissors, and cut the noodle, causing everyone to "AWWWW" and "COME ONNNN" like their favorite team just missed the winning point. "See, now you fucked up.", I said. I reached across the table, grabbed her face, and kissed her. I know she didn't think she could finesse me? "YEAAAHHHHHHHH!" everyone shouted, like the ref still called it a win. I bowed and Jas just shook her head. "I'm so proud of Janthony!" Lin said.

1 MONTH LATER

Today is Jas' birthday. I couldn't figure out what to get here so I waited. I've got it. I went to five different stores. A jewelry store, Victoria's Secret, a pet store, a fancy dress store, and a fancy suit store. I picked up a suit for me, a sexy dress for Jasmine, some lingerie, a dog named "Nala", and a necklace/earring combo the clerk suggested I get. I'd never been so excited.

Jasmine's POV

Today is my birthday. Some damn sex would be a good present. We haven't done it since the night he confessed his love for me and my need for him is driving me crazy. Nevertheless, I still wonder what Ant got me for my birthday.

2 HRS LATER

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAZZY!!! My baby is growing up..." Renée shouted as I entered the theater. I hugged her "Ohhhh, I love you guys. Thank you." I sat down in my dressing room alone and noticed someone sitting on my couch.

"Hello?"

"Hey, baby."

I could tell it was Ant. He was trying to change his voice to scare me but if anything I knew his figure.

"Oh no! Who art thou in my dressing room!"

"Ouch, sarcasm, you're no fun."

"Mhm, right, you love me."

Renée started to come in the room, but stopped dead in her tracks when she realized what I said.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

"Renée, are you okay?" Groff said as he waltzed into my room like the bad bitch he is.

"Mhm.", Renée said.

"Yo, what are we doing for my birthday." I figured I'd take this time to taunt Ant since I knew how Groff would respond.

"Ooh, I could take you to this strip club down by-" he was cut off by Ant saying "NOPPPEE, NOOOPEE NO STRIP CLUBS. I know this is you guys' dressing room, but can you go for a bit? I need to give Jas her first present." He was so protective of me.

"Listen if it's sex, don't do it in here. I like to chill out in here-", Groff started.

"BYE. I LOVE YOU!" I said, pushing him out of the room.

"LOVE YOU TOO, DONT FUCK HIM YET.", he yelled as I pushed him out.

Anthony's POV

I was so excited to get her this birthday present. I wrote a number on the bottom of the boxes, first the jewelry, then the dog, then the dress, then the lingerie. I pulled the box labeled '1' out of my bag and blindfolded her. Once it was on, I placed the present in front of her. She ripped it off, opened it, and squealed. Honestly, I didn't know what to get and so the cashier just gave me the prettiest item in the store. $2k for the set. I wondered why she was still jumping then realized when I looked into the box. I saw diamond earrings and a diamond necklace. She put it up to the light and realized it was real. We both froze. Then everyone rushed in and realized what I'd done. Hell, even I realized what I'd done.

Groff's POV

Everyone, except for Janthony, was on the main stage waiting for Lin when we heard Jasmine scream. We knew about Adam and rushed to her dressing room. When we get in there, we saw them frozen and staring at a box. Ant had his hand on his head like he just figured out he won the lottery.

"What's going on, you scared us!" Emmy asked. I did not expect the answer on its way.

"I think he got me diamonds...like real diamonds...like-" She started to ramble but Gregory cut her off. "OKAY WE GET IT, BITCH! Let me see the damn diamonds." Anthony, still with his mouth wide open, hands the box to Gregory, who confirms them to be real. If Gregory confirms it, then it's real.

"How much did this shit cost you?" Andrew shouldn't have asked.

"2." He replied.

"Oh 200 isn't much-" I started, but I should've just left it at 2.

"No," he said, "not 200..." Everyone's eyes widened we he realized he meant 2,000.

"2...TWO THOUSAND?!" Jasmine said. "Anthony. I'm not taking this. Why the hell would you spend $2k on someone you've been with for A MONTH." She was right not to take it.

"YOU GUYS ARE TOGETHER?!", Lin said, excitedly.

"Take it, pawn it, and give him back half the money!" Gregory shouted. Soon everyone left and it was just Jasmine, me, Ant, Pippa, and Renée in the room.

"Did you know that it was $2k?" Jazzy asked.

"No. I asked the clerk to show me what they suggested to get you and they suggested this. And I only want the best things for you and so without looking at the price, I swiped.", Anthony said, still very shocked. God, Ant was such a good man. A shame he's straight.

"Well, at least tell me this was the only present." Dumb question.

"Nah, there's like three more." Oh, Lord... Lin came running down the hall with his phone and the rest of the cast.

"You guys! I have great news!" he said as he shoved everyone into the green room.

"WE ARE GOING TO BROADWAY!" he said as people screamed, cried, and hugged each other. I looked in the corner and saw Anthony with his hands on his face, in shock, and Jasmine jumping up and down.
