Chapter 10

Anthony's POV
Over the next few days, Jas and I went to her old place, turned in the key, and moved all of her things into my house.

"Poor bed." I said.

"What do you mean?" She replied.

"It's a virgin bed." I said.

"What do you mean a- Oh. Well we have time, let's change that." She replied. Everything we'd done since the night at her house we'd done with love, care, and patience. Most importantly, we did it together. Today, when we got to the theater, we noticed that we were the first ones there. I haven't been late since I started dating Jas. We laid down on the couch in her dressing room and cuddled. She fell asleep and it gave me the chance to get an even better look at her, without her asking me what I was staring at. I sat there and admired her while we waited for the others to come in. When I finally fell asleep, Groff came in and said, "Anyone here yet? Awww, look at Janthony." and snapped a picture. Soon, our phones dinged.

"Were you jealous?" I asked her as we walked to the car.

"Shut up and get in." she said, rolling her eyes. I laughed and got in.

Jasmine's POV
I was taken aback by the prettiness of this theater. I couldn't believe we were going to be on Broadway. We got settled in and I realized me, Pippa, and Renée were no longer in our own little cul de sac. It was going to take a lot of getting used to but I knew I'd love this theater. I went home, and took a long shower. So long, Anthony joined me in the shower. We may or may not have had shower sex but that's beside the point. When we got in bed, we didn't say or do anything. We just sat there and held each other for hours.

"Jas. Are you up?", Anthony said.

"Yes, baby, what's wrong." I replied.

"1. I like how you're starting to call me baby. 2. You know I love you right?", he said. I was confused at this question.

What is he about to do?

"1. Shut up. 2. Yes, I know you love me.", I replied. I wanted to see where this was going.

"Well, I know you were mad about the diamonds but I bought this for you." He said. I turned around to see him holding a box with a ring with a crown on it. On the outside, it said, 'I love you, Jasmine.' I gasped and put it on.

"It's a promise ring. I know we've only been together for 7 months but I want you to know three things. 1. I promise to never cheat on you or abuse you. 2. I promise to always love and care for you. 3. I promise that you'll always be my baby. Forever and ever." he said, pointing at the inside of the ring. I look and the inside and engraved in it is, "forever and ever." I hugged and kissed him. I couldn't believe it, this was a guy who deeply loved me and didn't just want to get in my pants.

THE RING:

The next day we went to the theater and headed to practice. All day during practice, Ant stayed by my side. He followed me everywhere, even waiting for me outside of the bathroom. I knew it was because he was worried about something or he just really loved me. It wouldn't have annoyed me except for the fact that today was the day we'd learn Helpless and Satisfied on the turntables.

"What do you want?"

"To protect you."

"But there's no danger?"

"Yeah, I know, but every time I leave you alone you seem to find yourself in danger. So I figured if I just follow you around, no danger would come."

He's cute when he's worried. I knew exactly why he felt like he needed to protect me.

"Ant, sweetie, it's okay. He's in the hospital. And when he gets out of the hospital, he's going to jail."

"But-"

"But nothing. Besides, how are you gonna protect me while we're doing the show and while we're changing in and out of costumes?"

I thought I'd stump him but boy was I wrong.

"Okay, one. You act like I haven't seen you naked before. Two, I can protect you while we're backstage."

I think he forgot we were in the room with Daveed, Pippa, Renée, Oak, and Groff. Daveed and Oak's mouths hit the floor.

"YOU SAW HER NAKED?!", Daveed shouted.

"Wait, if you saw her naked that means you guys finally had sex, right?" Daveed said.

"Yep, me and Renée walked into them having sex." Groff said, smiling. Renée nodded in agreement and just said, "Y'all nasty. I'm scarred."

"No, you did not! What you saw what just us kissing. It's just that we happened to be in our underwear." Anthony replied.

"OMG, you're making it worse!", I said.

"YOU SAW HER NAKED?!" Oak said with the same expression as Daveed.
