Just the Two of Us

Author's P.O.V.

You wake up to the sound of birds chirping from out your window, as the sun shines on your face.

"Dang I feel kind of weird today" you said to yourself as you get out of bed and get ready for school. You walk out of your room to find a plate with eggs and bacon and a lunchbox with a note next to it.

The note: Hey sweetie! Sorry I can't eat breakfast with you again. I'll make it up next time. For now, I prepared you breakfast and lunch so you dont have to buy food at the cafeteria. Have a nice day at school!

"Dad..." you mutter to yourself, taking a seat and proceeding to eat breakfast by yourself.

After eating breakfast, you make your way out of your house. On your way to school, you happen to see a familiar head infront of you.

"Omi!" You yell and pull on his arm.

"Oi germ stop clinging on to me" he said in an annoyed voice.

"Whoops sorry hehehe" you said to him as he rolled his eyes. The two of you make your way to school together but the air being filled with silence.

Sakusa's P.O.V.

Something's not right. She usually talks about her dreams or something stupid when we're together. Today she's being kind of quiet. It's bugging me.

"Oi germ, why're you so quiet." I said to her she replied saying, "ooooohhh~ what's this? Could Mr. Sakusa be worried about me~?" She said teasing me all over again.

"Hehehehe don't worry I'm alright! I just haven't been feeling it lately. It's nothing to worry about."

"It's not like I care or anything.." I said, muttering my words.

"What was that?" She asked me.
"N-nothing".

Author's P.O.V.

The both of you make it to school, 15 minutes early. You both take your seats next to each other as the homeroom teacher enters the classroom.

"Alright everyone. We're gonna start a bit early today. Midori said she couldn't go to school today because she's going on a family trip. Now onto class."

"Just me and Sakusa today huh" you thought to yourself as the black haired boy sitting next to you takes out his notes.

"Y/N are you just gonna sit there?" The teacher had already singled you out early in the morning.

"Oh right sorry.."

Timeskip

The class bell rings and it was once again time for lunch. Just like your usual lunch time routine, you then began to bother Sakusa to eat lunch with you, and he unwillingly agreed.

The both of you sat in a table facing each other.

"This is kind of like a date isn't it?" You said laughing to yourself as the boy's face turns red. "Don't say things like that.."

"Hey! You wanna come over to my house again today?" You ask him as you munch on your food.

"Stop talking while your eating" he says to you, looking embarrassed. "That's not the point Omi! I asked you a question so you should respond!" You tell the boy, with a face as frustrated as ever.

"Alright alright I'll go!" He says as a grin is placed on your face.

"It's kind of boring without Midori isn't it?" You ask him. He looks down with a face of uncertainty.

You laugh it off and tells him it was a joke "Whether Midori's here or not we can still make it fun can we?hehehehe~" you laugh as you continue to eat.

The bell rings and it is once again time for class.

You take your seat. For thr whole period you were just gazing at the window outside your room. And after such a long time school ends with another sound of the school bell.

You made your merry way to Sakusa, hopping like a child and a grin was printed on your face, one as bright as ever.

"Let's go Omi!" You said, laughing like the idiot you are. When you arrived home you found another note on the table.

"Hey sweetie! I'm sorry I can't go home today. We have a surprise business trip. Anyways there's an envelope on the couterpath, it has money inside just incase you want to order fast food."

"..." silence evades the whole kitchen.

"Come on let's order food and watch a movie" the boy said as he took your arm and makes you sit on the living room couch, as an attempt to cheer you up and break the silence.

"What do you want to order?" He asks. You froze for a moment as tears start to fall from your cheeks.

"Wait why are you crying?!?" He asks as you wipe it with your hands.

"HAHAHA seriously, what would I be without you?"
