Ryder's POV

"Ryder we've got a situation!" You have got to be kidding me, so close!

"Damn it Dylan can't it wait," I said annoyed as I pulled back from Gabi's face and let her go to turn and face the nuisance that was Dylan Tucker.

"You can kiss her later unless you like kissing dead bodies," he said frustrated.

"What are yo-" I questioned before he grabbed me and turned me around to face the entrance of the club where the same group of men who had tried to kill Gabi at yesterday's match came barreling through the doors. "Ohhhhhh, I get it now," I said before picking up Gabi and tossing her over my shoulder despite her protests. Hm, maybe I should've told her what was going on.

"Ryder! What the hell are you doing!? Put me down!" She yelled but made no effort to get out of my hold. She was a smart woman, obviously if she struggled she could've dropped straight to the floor and let's face it, my grip's a lot stronger than she's used to forcing herself out of. I ran until we reached the back of the club, better yet I kept running once I realized they could've easily came through the back as well, so I headed straight for one of the VIP rooms. Once there I immediately threw her onto the couch and was about to run right back out until she grabbed me by the arm and stopped me.

"Would you mind telling me what the hell is going on?" She said in frustration.

"They're here okay? They're here and I need you to stay put, don't leave this room until I or Dylan come and get you," I said attempting to leave again but damn her grip was strong.

"Let me help," she suggested. Was she out of her mind?

"No way in hell," I told her leaving no room for discussion but of course she was defiant and continued to argue with me.

"I'm not going to just sit here and wait while you guys are out there risking your lives for me!" she argued.

"I hope you know that you're the one in danger not us!" I yelled, just as frustrated as she was. "Just stay put," I said one last time before tearing my arm from her grip and marching straight out of the room. I waited a minute or two before leaving just to make sure she didn't actually try to follow. When I reached the dance floor downstairs, everything was even more chaotic than I had left it. People were screaming and shoving trying to get to the nearest exit and it felt like déjà vu all over again. I quickly found Dylan as we withdrew our weapons from the waistband of our pants and called in for back up. Chief notified us that a squad was on their way as I ended the call and ordered Dylan to get everyone to safety and find Gabe as I went looking for our perps. It's safe to say that this was rather difficult considering the hundreds of people screaming and running all over the place. Everyone looked normal, just scared. It was hard to differentiate between the clubbers and the bad guys. If anything, any of these guys could be here to kill Gabi. As I thought more and more about how hard it was to spot the culprits, I failed to notice that a stream of bullets had begun to swiftly dive through the air. Looks like finding them wasn't going to be so hard anymore. I immediately took cover behind the counter of the bar as the sound of shots being fired vibrated throughout the room. Once in a while I peeked my weapon over the counter to release some shots but the bullets just kept coming and coming. Luckily, the team that secures Gabi from a distance barged through the doors as I heard the sound of even more shots colliding. I dared to take a peek over the counter but instead of being washed with worry, I was overjoyed that the boys came in and handled a couple of the men aiming their shots directly at me. Well, I couldn't stay behind this counter forever damn it, I have a UFC fighter to secure.

"Dylan I need breathing room!" I shouted out into the club, still crouched behind the bar.

"I'm trying over here, they really want you dead!" Dylan yelled back, his voice sounding a bit distant.
