"Are we done yet?" Madi asks Lily. She shakes her head no.
"My feet hurt Lily," I complain. She turns around with her hands on her hips.
"You guys shouldn't be complaining. May I remind you that you guys practically dragged me around the mall once you guys came to Carlos' house for the first time?" Lily says.
Madi and I just grumble in response. "That's what I thought," Lily says. "But fine. Only because my feet are killing me too. Let's go home and try on our dresses." She adds.
Flynn drives us home after what felt like an eternity at the mall. I never thought I'd say this but I am sick of going there.
We reach back at Lily's house and she drags us to her room to change into our dresses. The party starts tomorrow.
I bought a nice silky thing strap blue dress with a slit on the side of my leg. It's pretty plain but it's comfortable and not too much.

"You look beautiful Jules," Lily says. I shrug in response. It's just a party after all.
"Who's taking you to the ball?" Madi asks.
"Carlos," Lily replies while looking at herself in the mirror. Twirling and everything."What about you?" Lily asks back.
Mari shrugs. "I don't know. But I'm hoping that maybe Chase will ask me?" She answers like a question. Lily stops spinning and looks at Madi.
"I'm sure he'll ask you. If not Jordan is still looking for a date," Lily suggests.
"Is Noah gonna take you Jules?" Madi asks me.
Is he? I'm not sure. I mean he hasn't mentioned anything about the ball to me yet. "Not sure," I mumble quietly.
A knock on the door interrupts us. Lily yells for the person to come in. The door opens to reveal Carlos and Jordan standing behind the door.
Carlos looks Lily up and down like he wants to taste her. Gross. "You like what you're seeing babe?" Lily with a grin.
Carlos licks his lips, his gaze lingering on her chest area.
"You know ladies, if none of you have a date yet. I'm still free," Jordan says wiggling his eyebrows.
"Ugh shut the fuck up Jordan," Lil says playfully and throws a pillow at him. Jordan chuckles softly.
"You like beautiful Lily," he adds. Lily rolls her eyes and goes straight to Carlos who wraps his arms around her tightly and kisses her head. She closes her eyes and hums in response.
Cute.
"I'm gonna change out of this dress," Madi says.
"Me too," I add.
After Lily basically forced Carlos and Jordan out of the room, we all changed out of our dresses. I still kept my pajamas on. We head downstairs for dinner.
As I am walking down the stairs, I hear laughter coming from the kitchen. I enter the room and see basically everyone there, chatting amongst themselves.
Kassidy is there too. Great.
"Hi Jules, wanna eat?" Lily asks me. I nod my head and take a seat next to Jordan.
Kassidy and Noah are seated next to each other. Very closely. She has her hand on his knee and her head resting against his chest. That's weird.
"What are you guys talking about?" I ask once Lily places the hot food in front of me. It looks delicious.
"Just talking about the ball. Sadly I am forced to take this demon girl here," Carlos says playfully looking at Lily.
Lily gasps. "I'm not a demon girl. Fine then I'm not going to the ball with you," She says and storms out of the kitchen. Carlos follows behind her and apologizes.
"Speaking of which, Noah you are taking me to the ball, right?" Kassidy asks. That bitch.
Noah looks at me then at Kassidy, then back at me. I avoid his gaze and dig around my food. Suddenly I lost my appetite.
"Umm, I mean I was going to--" He gets cut off.
"But you always take me. Remember?" Kassidy interrupts him, ruffling his ever so soft and silky black hair.
"Sure," Noah sighs. I can feel his eyes on me. I try not to look at him. That'll be awkward.
"Great, let's go prepare our outfits for tomorrow. We wanna be matching so everyone knows that you and I came together." Kassidy says happily and pulls Noah out of the kitchen.
"You okay Jules?" Jordan asks taking a seat next to me. I just nod my head. "I still don't have a date if that makes you feel any better." He says quietly.
I laugh softly. "I'll go with you Jordan," I say after a while. Jordan stands up and punches the air.
"I knew you would. Thanks honey," he says and kisses my cheek.
"Do not call me honey!" I yell after him as he runs out of the kitchen.
Going to the ball with Jordan again might not be as bad right? I mean we went together before. What could go wrong?
