His Butterfly

Chapter 15

Noah and I lay in bed watching a movie together. He told me he had a surprise for me later tonight. I wonder what it is. 

It's been 2 week after that whole drama with Kassidy things between Noah and I have been pretty good. We kissed for the first time and I have never felt better. Kassidy has stopped bugging us. Probably because Lily told Carlos who told his cousin to stop getting involved with us. Which I am thankful for.

We haven't yet put a label on our relationship yet and I was planning to talk to him about it tonight.

It's around 6pm and I start getting dressed to go out with Noah. He told me to wear something nice yet simple. I don't know how to do that. You either get nice or simple, not both. Well from me.

I put on a nice blue floral dress that goes to my thighs. This is simple right?

I get a text from Noah saying that he's here and waiting downstairs for me. I grab my small purse and put on some heels and head out of my room. Madi is lounging on the sofa binge watching her favorite series.

"I'm heading out." I tell her. She mumbles an 'ok' with her mouth full with popcorn and waves me off. 

I laugh at her and head outside. I see his car meaning he should be here. 

"Looking lovely today butterfly." I gasp as I hear him from behind me. He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me to his chest.

"Hi." I say shyly. Why am I shy? I have no idea. he takes my hand in his and walks us to his car. We opens it and I slide into the passenger seat. 

"Where are we going?" I ask out of curiosity.

"It's a surprise." He says with a smile. 

I roll my eyes and focus my gaze outside the window. The night is dark and cold outside. Maybe I should have brought a jacket with me. The car comes to a stop and he gets out from the driver's side. He then makes his way to m side and opens the door for me.

I take his hand and we head out. 

A small little picnic is set out by a cliff. It's pretty cold up here. I gasp as I see the blankets and pillows. And best of all, the basket of food.

I gasp and turn around. "It's beautiful." I say and run to hug him. He wraps his arms around me tightly. He leads us to the blanket and we sit down.

Noah's POV

I'm nervous. Today I plan on asking her to be my girlfriend. She would say yes right? Things have been going great between us and I wanted to make it official. I even bought a promise ring and everything. So it's kind of like I'm proposing to her but as a promise to never leave her.

We reach the picnic spot and she runs to the food basket. She starts digging in and I can't help the smile that makes its way onto my face.

"You're not eating?" She mumbles with food in her mouth. I laugh at her and nod my head.

"I will I just have something to do first." I reply. She cocks her head to the side with a confused look on her face.

I guess now's the time to "propose" to her. 

I reach the back of my pocket and take out a small box. Her eyes go wide. "Don't worry. I'm not going to propose. Yet at least." I see her relax a bit.

I don't want to rush her into this. I open the box to reveal a beautiful ring. It's in her favorite color too. Sapphire blue. 

"Jules. I just wanted to say that you are the best thing that has happened to me. I'm sorry for ever making you upset. I promise from this point on my purpose is to make you feel nothing but happiness. I have been thinking about you a lot and everytime a smile appears onto my face. I love you Jules, so will you be my girlfriend?" I tell her. 

I practiced this line over and over again but saying 'I love you' was not part of it. I guess I was caught in the moment I just had to say it, and I don't regret it at all.

She goes silent, staring at me and the ring. Is she going to say no?

Then she squeals and tackles me. She places kissed all over my face while laughing with joy. "Wait you didn't answer my question." I say.

"Yes!" She basically shouts. I grab the ring and put in on her finger. Not her ring finger though, that's for later.

"Good because I wouldn't know what to do if you said no." I laugh nervously. She giggles. "I love you Jules." I say again just in case she didn't hear me the first time.

She stops giggling and looks into my eyes. A smile forms onto her face. "I love you too Noah." She says quietly. My smile becomes even bigger and this time I tackled her and place butterfly kisses all over her. 

The rest of the night was us talking about stupid stuff and laughing. I never knew I could be this happy with a girl.
