“IT'S NICE TO MEET ME?”
Napasigaw na lang ako kay Cobalt habang paulit-ulit kong ikinukuwento sa kaniya ang nangyari sa San Juan branch ng Dollhouse.
Cobalt nodded at me once again. This time, he dared not to comfort me or even raise his head to give me a sympathic smile. He just shoved my feelings away, like he’s already tired of hearing it over and over again.
“Coby, why?! He couldn’t even remember me? Me?!”
Cobalt sighed. “Just go get some freaking sleep, Jay.” and went to lie down on his bed again. I barged in on his bedroom an hour ago, mad at what happened.
“I literally died there! I was so freaking afraid when his face popped out!” I complained even more. "I WAS REELING. I ACTUALLY THOUGHT MY BODY WILL EXPLODE. I WAS FRIGHTENED TO THE CORE! I'M LIKE THE FUCKING VOLCANO ABOUT TO ERUPT, COBY!"
“Jade, come on, it's only 11 A.M. I need sleep! I partied like an animal last night. Come on, pay some sympathy.” he complained and covered his face with a pillow.
“But, he's unbelievable, Cob! May pa-I-don’t-forget-too-easy pa siyang nalalaman. That hypocrite! He doesn't even have the ball to face me properly!”
Bumangon agad si Cobalt kasabay ng paghagis niya sa hangin ng kaniyang unan.
“Why can’t you just be relieved that he forgot?!” he shouted, losing his patience. Tila bulkang sasabog na rin sa naipong kulo, galit, at rindi sa akin. “Aren’t you relieved that he forgot about you? Oh, baka naman gusto mong maalala ka niya?! You wanna have sex with him, do you?”
“Of course not!” I shouted back, defensively. Cobalt raised a questioning eyebrow at me, like he knew me better.
“Ah, really?” he asked mocking me. Sinamaan ko na lang siya ng tingin bago nagmartsa patungo sa pinto ng kuwarto niya. Ibinagsak agad ni Cobalt ang katawan niya sa kama. Dramatically sighing, “Finally!”
I growled at him, slamming his door shut to irritate him even more. It's not fair that I'm the only one getting agitated here.
“FUCK YOU!” I heard him scream in full annoyance that made me laugh in satisfaction.

"So, what is it that you really want to happen?" Millicent asked on the other end of the line. I asked and leaned my back on the beach stretcher. "I don't know. A hint of familiarity?"
"Okay, that doesn't make any sense. Are you a masochist or what? Maybe, you should talk to Sendra about it instead." Mill was getting tired of me already. And here I thought she's the only one willing to listen and would understand me for who I am.
"Come on, Mill." I sighed over the phone before roaming my eyes around. Looking for a prey, a target nearby. This whole Thormen thing was stressing me out that I decided to drive towards the nearest beach.
Ah, beach. The place where I can see all kinds of undies. This is my heaven. My safe place. My home. There's only a few beach goers here though, considering this isn't the weekend. "Oh, this is Leon Arevalo! He's a friend of mine!" she introduced the guy in red fabric. I smiled at him.
"Hi, I'm Jade. Bernardino."
The guy smiled back at me. "Bernardino. Sounds oddly familiar. I just can't pinpoint how... did we already meet before?"
My eyes narrowed at the thought, "Not that I know of..." I answered. I would definitely know, kung kilala ko siya. Sa laki at perpekto ba naman ng ari niya. Parang Calvin Klein's model.
"You know, he modelled sa Calvin Klein before." Giah added to fill in the silence as if she heard my mind.
"Really?" I asked, my throat drying up. Now, I just want to be left alone so that I can finally open my phone, surf on the CK website and bask in the glory of his CK photoshoots. Napangunot ulit ang aking noo. "May kasama pa kayong isa?"
"Oh, don't mind my cupid words. I mean, it will be better to go as foursome." and then she looked at Leon, "Tell Thormen we'll go na sa resto."
My jaw dropped. Before I could even say something or change my mind, Giah was already linking arms with me. Dinala na niya ako sa kung saan man kami pupunta.
