Pansy looked shocked, I had just told her Lilith was my sister. "Then just ask her who your parents are!" Pansy exclaimed drastically.
"I tried that genius, and it ended with Lilith in the hospital wing!" I rolled my eyes at her and she looked away. I walked to the great hall where a few students were sitting. Funnily enough, Dean, Seamus and Luna were sitting at the Gryffindor table. I slid in next to Seamus who for the first time in.... forever! Looked unperturbed by my sitting next to him. "Oh, Hi Raven." Luna said , where Dean went for the 'extremely subtle' "What do you want?"
"Oh nothing, just bored." I said examining my nails. "Have any of you seen my sister?" Dean nearly choked and Luna simply said, "Yes, she was heading toward the hospital wing with McGonagall." Seamus looked aghast and I raised an eyebrow.
"Oh." I said simply. "Are you sure you know who you're talking about?"
"Quite sure." Luna answered in her high voice.
"Thanks, Luna. And before I go..." I turned to Seamus next to me and kissed him on the cheek. I stood slowly and walked out of the great hall to the hospital wing where Luna had sent me. I walked slowly enough to hear the cat calls from Dean. I smiled to myself.I bumped into McGonagall. "What's going on?" I asked her.
"Lilith was attacked again. But this time it was the imperious curse. She was taken out of it as soon as I found her but she was standing on the edge of the astronomy tower." McGonagall's voice was worried. "Is she alright?" I asked.
"Quite." I breathed a sigh of relief.
"May I see her?" I asked. McGonagall shook her head.
"Not yet."I found Blaise on his way to class but I pulled him into a deserted hall. "Lilith was cursed again." I told him gravely. "What! Again? Was it Crucio?" he asked.
"No, it was Imperio." Blaise looked worried. "She was standing on the railing of the astronomy tower!" I exclaimed. Blaise sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Have you noticed the pattern?" he asked quietly.
I was confused at first then I came to the same realisation as Blaise. There was a pattern. "You don't think..."
"That's exactly what I think." Blaise said.
"Then we have to be careful." A little First Year came around the corner and I scowled. "Shoo!" I waved my hand and she wheeled around and bolted. Blaise left for his class and I snuck into the hospital wig. Lilith was in the furthest bed and under heavy surveillance of Madame Pomfrey. Probably in case she shows signs of being cursed. I ignored Madame Pomfrey's protests and I shook Lilith's shoulder. Her eyes flew open. She sat up and I scooted back. "Lilith?" I asked.
"Raven?" she breathed.
"Yeah, it's me. Are you ok?"
"I don't even know what happened. McGonagall said my name and I could see properly, I was standing on the railing of the Astronomy tower. I freaked out and started shaking, I was about to fall when Professor Snape grabbed my arm and pulled me off the railing. Then I fainted and I woke up here." She said sounding alright about it.
"And do you know what happened to you?" I asked. Before Lilith could answer, Madame Pomfrey pulled me away and said "Lilith needs her rest." When she got me outside she said, "No dear, she mustn't know, she should think she was sleepwalking. It was a wonder she was ever accepted here in the first place what with the..." she trailed off and realised I was paying to close attention to her words. I nodded and left. The castle had been feeling dark , not just literally but the buzz and happiness drained away, Alecto and Amycus Carrow started picking on kids more, Seamus had a black eye.
