Chapter 13: Rumors

At school

I drove to school today and as I was parking my car I noticed Danny waiting for someone next to his Range Rover. I took my bag and went to say hi.

- Good morning Danny!-

DANNY'S POV

Her smile was brighter than the sun and her voice angelic as she waved her way to come and say Good morning. I was so happy to see her talk to me willingly.

END OF DANNY'S POV

- Good morning Victoria, how is my princess today?

He asked and my heart skipped a beat. I had forgotten how much I wanted and loved him. How much I needed him next to me, in my life. His smile when he saw me was so sweet and quiet but so powerful at the same time. God I love my best friend.

- I'm very well what about you?

- I'm better now that I see you

- Danny!!Stop – I say trying to hide my so obvious blushing. Yep that's my best friend

- Oh look at your pretty little face. It's all red.

- I'm not red

- You are blushing, how cute –

- Danny stop – I turn to look the other side so I can calm myself down. Danny touches my chin softly and turns my head to his direction, he cups my head and kisses my forehead.

I jump shocked. And look at him

- What?- He asks trying to act innocent

- Why did you do that?

- You are hot. Are you sure you don't have a fever? - for a moment I thought he called me hot wtf.

- No I'm fine. -I say and hide my face in my hands.

- Ok then if you insist. We shall go inside now... -

- That's a great idea.

I walk fast inside without waiting for him. I don't want him to see me like this. He is so goofy but always knows how to make a girl feel special. I love him.

We make our way inside and the moment we started walking I felt really weird. I felt like everyone was looking at us and they were talking silently in small conversations after. I started to be suspicious. Some boys from the ice hokey team began to whistle and they took Danny from my side congratulating him. I was so shocked that I kept walking but I stopped right at my tracks when one after another students were looking at me with eyes wide and boys were whistling at me. I felt a hand on mine pulling me out of the crowd and inside an empty class. I am so dizzy from the noise that I don't realize what is going on. The lights are off and I shake my head to focus. I feel a hand on my chin. I get scared but I try not to panic. My breathing is heavy now.

- Is it true? - I hear the person in front of me say. I'm sure it is a boy.

- What is true? - I say confused

- Don't play with me – His voice is deep and scary with a possessive tone.

- I swear I don't know what you're talking about – I'm telling the truth but he doesn't seem to be interested in it.

- Then I'm going to ask you...

- Ask me what? - I say trying to hide my fear

- Did you and Danny slept together? - I pause for a second confused

- Who told you that?

- So it's true!!??!

- No, ..I mean yes...well, we slept together but nothing happened between me and him.- He exhales like he was holding his breath.

- Thank god

- Why do you care?

- ...

- Wait.....

-..

- Josh?!?!?!?!

- S#it – he says under his breath

I am sure it is Josh . He leaves my chin and runs outside the classroom

My confusion is tripled and I walk slowly towards the door and outside when I meet Danny.

- Victoria are you okay?

- I- I'm fine don't worry, Just confused.

- Yeah I know.

- What do you know?

- I mean I know how you feel.

- We have to do something. Someone told everyone that we....

- Yeah I know, I wouldn't mind though.

- Danny Stop!! Oh my god you are such a perv - He laughs 

- Why i just said- He doesn't manage to finish his sentance and i give him a strong punch , I'm not sure it did anything because he has a really athletic body  until i hear

- I'm joking, i'm joking - Danny says trying to act hurt from my hand but i know he isn't

- You act so calm.... Did you tell them??????????

- No. I would never.- He says

- ok I believe you..

- Well, do you have anyone in mind?

- Ashley – I say disgusted

- Why would you say that?

- Danny she has been spreading rumors about me ever since she knew my name

- Well you're not wrong

- See!?!

- Ok fine I'll talk to her..

- You better do before I beat her a$$

- Hey I'm the aggressive one

- Not anymore I guess – I say playfully

- We'll see about that..... - He says in a weird tone and a smirk forms on his face.

He picks me up like I'm a feather and I gasp from the unexpected move

- Danny!!! put me down! - I try to whisper

- Not today princess...not today

- Where are you even taking me to, we will be late for class

- Don't worry darling we will be alright

- Yeah yeah....-

His smirk gets wider from satisfaction as I finally give up and I can't help but admire how handsome he is from this and every angle I can observe him-
