Deathpaw yawned and padded into camp with a mouse. It had been a moon since he became an apprentice and he was doing horribly. He usually missed the prey right in front of his nose. He was lucky that Gorsestorm was a kind mentor. He dropped the prey into the pile. Cormarantpaw padded to Deathpaw. Deathpaw could see the older apprentices' strong shoulders and paws. out of nowhere, Cormorantpaw pushed death paw to the ground with a strong blow to his side. Cinderpaw snickered.

"What a kit!" She laughed. He struggled to get up.

"What in the name of Starclan was that for!" He yowled at the two. Cormorant paw padded closer. Death paw could see how are this tom and his sister was.

"Ooo trying to be tough are you with that tiny lil' prey? You're pathetic! You're not an omen your a weakling that's what you are a little kit in need of it's mother, or of your father aren't I right? your father left you and your mother in an instant just like that no wonder he left you," Cormorantpaw whispered in his ear. Deathpaw could feel his eyes swell up. No don't you cry Deathpaw, don't you cry! He thought.

"That's what I thought, your mother wasn't enough to make you strong. She is just a she-cat!  Shecats can't teach kits to grow up to be strong! Shecats are weak!" He yowled. Death paw dug his claws into the ground. He knew he was wrong. He also knew what he was about to do was worse. Cinderpaws eyes were raged with fury at her brother as he walked away but she did nothing.

"No your wrong," Cormarantpaw stopped and turned around.

"What did you just say to me?" Cormorantpaw growled.

"You heard me your wrong!" Death paw yowled lunging at him with fury. Cormorant wasn't ready and was pushed to the ground with such force from a cat three times smaller than him.

"Now you listen to me! She-cats aren't weak! My mother is the strongest cat I know! She kept me from the threats of the clan and took care of me even when she knew it would hurt her too! She is ten times smarter than you! So she-cats aren't weak. She raised me to be myself! NOt my ridiculous foxed hearted father!" He yowled at him. Cormorantpaws eyes were filled with fear.

"So do you agree that she-cats aren't weak!" Cinderpaw yowled at her brother swiping his face. he nodded quickly. He quickly stood and ran away into the forest.

"Thanks though think I'd given him worse!" Cinderpaw mewed as she licked her paws. Her claws were extremely long.

"Yeah thanks for the help," He said waving his tail. He was surprised when he saw the leader sitting on the rock staring at him. Was he there the whole time? he thought.

                                                           ....................................................

Deathpaw stared at Birdpaw who was standing vigil. She seemed to take it seriously he was happy about that. He yawned and stared at the moon that was glistening in the evening. The breeze ruffled his pelt as he padded back into camp. He saw his nest that was ready. Yawning he curled up into his nest and fell asleep.

"Whos there?"  a she-cat mewed. Where am I? Wait remember that scent!.

"It's me!" He yowled spotting the she-cat who was hiding behind a tree.

"Oh! but it can't be?! I saw you fall off the cliff! Go away Deamon!" She yowled showing her claws. she then lunged forward but went right through him.

"What in the name of starclan?" She yowled.
