Dryl had changed a bit. Not a lot. Greenery just covered Etheria now. Flowers and colorful plants grew around the castle. "Woah!" Entrapta exclaimed, "It's so pretty!" I stopped to look around as Entrapta and Hordak walked towards the castle. It was all just so beautiful. I've always thought Etheria was beautiful, but now... It all just seemed so perfect. A bit too perfect... No, the war was over. This was no dream. We had won the war against Prime. We are free. Finally free. And I have a new home!
I snapped back into reality and jogged after the two figures in the distance as I had gotten a bit behind.
When I had caught up with them I panted, trying to catch my breath. Entrapta glanced over at me. Was it concern on her face? Fear? I don't know why she'd be concerned or scared. I was about to say something before Entrapta burst out. "Be careful! There are traps around here. I'll show you where they are. Stay by me."
Hordak and I slowly guided us through her traps. A bit slower than necessary. She kept looking back at us to make sure we were okay and following her.
I had never really been inside of Crypto Castle. I had heard it was impossible to navigate in there but I didn't think it would be that difficult.
It was.
Entrapta couldn't even find her way around. She went on about not having her electronic map with her so she couldn't look at where exactly were. I had expected a princess to be able to find her own way around her own castle, but I guess not. We were lost for a while, Hordak and I being yanked this way and that way as she entered different rooms and decided what hallway to go down next. I groaned internally. Would we ever actually make it to- wait, where were we even going? I was going to ask, but Entrapta was rambling to us as she sped-walked down a long hallway. I smiled a bit as I watched her. There was something about her. I never seemed to get annoyed by her. Even when she would continuously interrupt me without realizing as she would babble about science-y stuff that I didn't quite understand. Despite that, I still loved to hear her talk. I could listen to her for hours. It wasn't like that with everyone. There were a few people who would annoy me if they talked too long. Most people angered me if they wouldn't let me talk, but it wasn't like that with Entrapta. It was strange. I wondered if everyone felt like that with her. No, some of the princesses would tell her to shut up if she was talking too much or too loud, and they would get upset if they didn't understand what she was saying or exactly why she was saying it. It hurt my heart a bit when I remembered how the princesses treated her. Adora and Bow were always sweet to Entrapta, but the others had their moments with her.
"You tend to space out a lot," Hordak noted. I flinched slightly when I heard him speak to me. Entrapta was still chatting in front of us. "I know. I think a lot," I nodded. He just returned the nod. "It's reasonable. I'm unsure what you're thinking about and I would not like to ask incase it's something you would rather not share, but after the war with Prime I think that everyone is... thinking a bit. Spacing out," he said, his green eyes fixed on me. "Oh, it's nothing about Prime. Well, right now. I was just thinking about Entrapta. I think it's a bit strange. I notice she never really annoys me. If other people did some of the things she does it would usually upset me, but when she does it it just... doesn't bother me. I don't really get it," I explained. Hordak shifted his gaze to Entrapta. "Yes. I feel like that, too."
"I give up on finding our way around. For now. Let's take a break," Entrapta finally stopped walking, walking over to the wall so she could sit down and lean up against it. Hordak and I followed. It felt nice to get a break from walking so much. We had walked all through the Whispering Woods and the mountains to get here. And who knows how long we had been wandering around Dryl.
"What were we even looking for?" I asked. "My room! Then I could show you both your rooms and get you settled," she quickly changed the subject, "A few of my things are still in the Fright Zone. I guess we could sneak over there one day and get them, but they aren't that important. Okay, who's ready to keep walking?!" Entrapta stood up from her spot on the ground and skipped off.
