A Prostitute?
Gosh.....what to do?
I tried to pretend I didn't know it was him.
"Sorry" I said, turning to go but he held my hands."Princess"
I raised my head."Why are you doing this? Are you trying to avoid me? Learnt you changed seats in class too"
" I.......No, the Principal asked me to.......No, I decided to........no, I......" I stammered.
"The principal asked you to what? Change seats with me? or avoid me? or both?"
"OMG this isn't happening"
"No.....he asked me to change seats with you" I replied, wearing an innocent look.
"Why ?"
"I don't know too. I thought you..... you... wait..you.. you didn't know about it?"
"I didn't. Is that why you've been avoiding... Oh...nah, don't worry, it's fine. why'd I even bother?" He said, nodding his head.
"Harry, I ......."
He dropped my hand and left angrily. I've never seen him so angry.
I then remembered Tasha's statement.
"All I know is that you're really going to hate yourself for doing it.....especially if he wasn't the one who told Principal to change your seats"
It has happened!!
I walked slowly to the hostel.
Entering my room, I met Jane on her bed. Tasha's bed was empty."Hi" I said.
"Welcome" Jane replied.
"Where's Tasha?"
"Bathroom, why do you ask?"
"N-nothing... just asking"
"Okay" She replied.
"That's true...wanna ask you something though" I said.
"Go on"
"How many people are named Tasha in this school"
"I ...I don't really know. You know a person can't know everyone in this school.. But I only know the Tasha in this room" she said.
'Hmmm" I sighed.
"Is anything the problem?" Jane asked.
"Actually I...I"
Suddenly, Tasha entered.
"Jane , why is the bathroom...."
She then saw me."Oh.. you're back" She said.
"Yes"
"Tasha, so princess was just asking if you're the only one bearing Tasha here" Jane said.
"Oh, No. We are two in this school. The second person is in grade 4"
"Okay"
"Why'd you ask though?" Tasha said.
"Nothing ... just wanna know if my friend has a namesake" I lied.
Tasha laughed.
"Ok then"
"So how was your change of seat thing?" Jane asked."Yeah, that's true. Tasha added.
"Fine" I said.
"Just fine? No gist?"
"Yes...my new diner partner is accommodating"
"That's good, who?
"Max"
"Max? In our class?" Tasha asked, wearing a shocking look.
"Yeah... Now my former class"
"T-that guy!"
"Yes ..what happened to him?" I asked.
"I hate him"
"Why ?"
"He's a bloody liar, hope he hasn't told you anything about me?"
"No....he didn't tell me anything, why though?"
"He once saw me at a Teacher's office and completely misunderstood it"
"So....has he been talking about it?" I asked.
"No, but the way he looks at me!"
"Oh really?"
"Yes"
"Since it's only the looks...why are you now calling him a bloody liar?
He didn't lie against you did he?""Whatever, I just hate him" Tasha said.
"Who should I believe?"
I climbed my bed and rested my head.
Remembering the way Harry walked out on me made me shiver.
"It's going to be fine. I'll just avoid him till this term ends...oh Gosh....can I really do that?"That's what I thought about till nature took it's place.
"Do you know how hard it is to be seeing you without talking to you?
Do you know how avoiding me hurts me deep inside? Do you know how seeing you with other boys makes me feel jealous?" He said, his eyes red with tears and anger."I'm sorry" I replied.
"If sorry could solve it.. it'll be fine"
"But you caused it! You made me think you hated me. I even thought you were the one who told the principal to change my seat"
"No I didn't. He only said
Can you call me Princess..but later, he said I shouldn't worry. That's why I just said the principal might call you"He looked at me for a while and said.
"I really missed you.. even though I see you everyday but I can't talk to you"I stretched my hands to hug him.
"Princess! Who are you hugging while sleeping?" I heard
Jane bursted into laughter."Dream again! I wasn't surprised this time.
"Well, siesta is over. Just wanted to tell you that. You can now return to your sleep"
She said, grinning."Why did you wake me when you know you'll still tell me to sleep again?"
I murmured inaudibly as I fell asleep again.
