For the next few days we monitored the fog, how fast it spread, location, time of another spot.

Everything went fine till I heard a crash and scream of pain I ran into the meeting room to see only Lis there she was huddled in a corner her hands covered her face.

Lis what's wrong I frantically asked

She didn't answer she continued crying and now she was shaking. I then noticed blood dripping from her hands and I helped her up. she took her hands away for a spot second I saw what she was hiding her face was dripping with blood a deep huge talon marks was torn across her face her eyes couldn't even open.

I yelled for help noticing she was becoming heavier and heavier with each step in the matter of second Jack, Hiccup, Toothless, and Charlie came running in.

OH MY... What happened screamed Charlie panicked.

I don't know I cried I was scared. what happened to my best friend?

We all help to carry Lis to the small hospital they had in the workshop. when they called a meeting Lis had fallen asleep and hiccup sat beside her.

You ok I asked sitting next to him I knew he had feelings for Lis and seeing him like this made me want to cry. Shay and Bailey was both curled up together on her bed looking at her in sadness. I pet their heads and look back at Hiccup.

He sat silently for a moment than answered.

What if she dies, he asked.

Hey...she won't I said.

He looked up at me with tears in his eyes.

I heard a knock on the door Jack was standing there he had a plastic bag it was filled with beans.

I'm sorry he said looking at me is this a bad time

No I said

He half heartedly did a sad grin and walked in quietly he tied the bag and sat it next to her bed with Shay and Bailey whimpering sadly.

What's that I said

Salted and roasted edamame beans he said sadly looking down and then back at Lis...it's her favorite snack.

Hiccup looked at me and Jack. Um...id better get to the meeting.

Hiccup left and the tears Jack was holding back then ran down from his ice blue eyes.

This is my fault he cried I should've been there she's the only family I have left i should be the one in that bed with a bloody face not her.

Don't say that I said we can't stop fate I sadly said.

I know. He looked down at his feet, eyes still full of tears it's just that she's the only family I have and...to see her like this it's heartbreaking I've already...lost one sister...and to loose Lis, I don't know what I would do.

Hey don't say that I say look she still alive...you still have me.

He looked at me with thankful eye and wrapped me in a hug and looked into my eyes thanks for being there for me.
