"Are you coming!?" Draco yelled from downstairs for me to go down for breakfast.
"Going!!" I yelled back.
After brushing my teeth I put my robes over myself and left my room. As I walked down the staircase I tied my messy hair up in a ponytail so it wouldn't be in my way.
As I entered the kitchen, I saw both Narcissa and Draco preparing the table. There were all kinds of foods from eggs and fruit to pancakes and crepes.
"Goodmorning dear! Come sit." Cissy signaled at a seat that was across Draco.
"Morning you two." I said as I sat down.
Draco looked up at me and gave me a faint smile and I returned it with my big grin.
Both of us thanked her for the food before digging straight in.
As we ate, we chatted and laughed over small jokes.
It had been about four months since the whole chaos happened and we were a couple days away from christmas.
It had been four months since Lucius died.
Though both Draco and Narcissa seemed to recover quite quickly over his death, I could notice that sometimes they did think about him.
Even then, they still look far more happy and joyful now than they ever did with him. And that made me glad.
Since we were close to a holiday, the house was decorated in every corner. There were red table cloths on all the tables, garland twisted along the railing of the stairs, wreaths on every door, lights all around the roof and a huge christmas tree in the living room that we all helped decorate.
The entire manor smelled like cinnamon and vanilla, pumpkin spice and wood, giving the place a home-y and comforting scent.
Since this was the first holiday without Lucius, Cissy decided to call off the yearly Malfoy christmas ball and instead just have our close friends come for a cup of coffee.
Of course, everyone understood and didn't question her decision.
Right after dinner, we all helped clean up the kitchen and got dressed to go to diagon alley for some gifts.
I wore a black skirt with thigh-high socks and a light brown dress shirt with my large coat over me as it was snowing.
I went down to the living room once I was ready and sat on the couch as I waited for the Malfoys to be ready.
Not long after me, Draco walked down in his usual black suit and his large coat over himself.
I looked up at him and we made eye contact for a few seconds, staring at each other with the ends of our mouths slightly curving upwards in a small smile.
"You look... great." He whispered softly to where I was barely able to hear.
"You look... handsome." I whispered back as he took a few steps towards me.
The smile on both our faces faded slowly as we were now only inches apart from one another.
His warm hands reached up and cupped my face gently, my skin running with goosebumps as the freezing cold rings hit my skin. He rubbed his thumb over my cheeks as my hands rested on his hips.
"I missed this." He whispered, his hot breath fanning against my face and I could smell the mint scent coming from it.
"What?" I asked.
"Holding you like this. Like when you were mine. And mine only." I could see his gaze switching between my eyes and my lips.
A smile started forming on my face as did one on his.
He slowly leaned in even closer to me, our lips brushing against one another before I reached on the tip of my toes to make me slightly taller and being able to deepen the kiss.
