As per one of the sources of Mahabharat, Krishna offered Karna not to participate in the war to which if he agrees he can live his future life with his 5 brothers and Draupadi. Because he is the eldest and will become the king, he would be married off to Draupadi as she is the queen.
The story starts here in the 21st century where Draupadi is living with her 6 husbands in her posh luxurious villa, while Kunti, Gandhari, Drithrashtra, Vidur are living in a different city and keep on visiting them frequently.
The scene starts in the living room where all 6 brothers are seated and enjoying their Sunday to the fullest watching the cricket match. They had a party at their place Saturday night where all their relatives from Hastinapur visited them and so the house was entirely messed up making Draupadi sick as she had to clean it up all by herself.
