"Make a run for it?! No! We wouldn't make it before sunset!" Markus spoke rationally.

"We need to survive, Markus! It's our only way out!" I argued.

"Lets take a vote!" Markus spoke, still believing in the fact that staying here and being captured by the guard would be a rational plan.

"Markus, what is going on?" Then it hit me. He had joined us late. He never spent a month on a stranded island, and he never had to survive on his own. He was scared.

"Markus...breathe." I said pulling him to the side. "Its okay. I know what you're going through. I went through it as well."

He looked down at me, Markus had been at least a foot taller than most of the competitors, including me.

"Really?" He started to breathe, and i could finally understand what he was saying clearer.

"Yeah... right before we were shipped off I had a full on panic attack. I even think I cried,  and I never cry."

"That's true." He began to loosen up, helping him was like treating a small child. He could have been my brother if he wasn't so good looking. Stop it, Finni.

"We have to leave, and you know that."

"I know."

"Then lets go."

I turned on my heel to usher the others out of the fence so that we could make a run for it, but someone hand grabbed my wrist. Markus.

"We still need a leader, you know that right?" He spoke confidently once again.

"Hey! Everyone! Listen up! Look over here Robin!" Every single talking head had there eyes on him, and I could tell most people knew who he was.

"FINNI OVER HERE WILL BE LEADING US OUT! FROM NOW ON YOU ANSWER TO HER!"

I could hear faint whispered shouts frkm one friend to another; "The chick who didn't know the plan for phase 2 attack?" "I can't trust anyone who has purple hair!" "Who does she think she is?"

I could tell from the side of my eye that he had heard these comments too.

"YOU EITHER ANSWER TO HER! OR YOU ANSWER TO ME!" That shut them up.

Now all we needed was a plan.
