Two days earlier

"Adrian could you back up you're breathing on me", I glared as I turned to my brother and rubbed the back of my neck that he was unnecessarily providing heat to and pulled up my hoodie.

Lifting his rifle I ducked seeing as he always pointed it in my face as a joke but lately I wasn't too sure when he had that dirty look on his face whenever he did it.

"Sorry"

The idiot was smiling.

"Yeah whatever just hook this up for me" I mumbled while handing him the parts of the harness that I had no idea what to do with.

"You remember the plan right Alexia?" My mom's voice hummed through my earpiece and I nodded before embarrassingly responding with a yes after forgetting she couldn't see me .

"I know it's your first field mission but our lives depend on not having any mishaps so don't worry about it"

"wow mom I'm super calm now" mumbling through gritted teeth, I tried my best not to look over as I stood on the edge of the building while traffic moved on as normal below.

"You're all set kid" patting my back a bit too hard Adrian resumed his position at his gun.

That was oddly fast, I mean, I know he's good but I'm expecting him to take at least five minutes instead of two.

I rocked back and forth getting myself ready for the jump and as soon as I leapt off I heard the words leave his disgusting face,

"oh, watch your head"

And that ladies and gentlemen is how I ended up turning upside down on a zipline, too scared to process what he said as I swung fifty metres above traffic and almost bashing my head in as I hurtled towards the Riu hotel.

"you brainless idiot, have you lost your mind" I yelled while I swung my legs down and gripped the cable so that I could stand on the ledge.

I could hear his laugh booming all the way across to where I was and the only thing I could do was hope he swallowed a fly seeing I was unable to swing back over there and slap him upside his head.

He laughed and flipped me off as I glared in his direction and I reached into my waistband.

"Alexia don't you dare shoot him, I'll deal with him when we get home but unless you want a repeat of what happened the last time you shot him in the shoulder and he almost bled out I suggest you finish your part"

"but mom a little bullet won't hurt him plus nurse Alice loves him, think of it as a favour for an old friend"  closing one eye I pointed it at him before he could duck.

"Alexia" my mother's voice had a steady tone and I frowned before lowering my hand.

"ok mom" groaning I unhooked myself and grabbed my duffel bag before running to the fire escape.

I looked around, then smiled to myself thankful that Jason was actually sensible enough to leave the top floor unauthorised and notify us. We had gotten way too used his mess ups lately.

No one really reserved the top floor seeing as it was the most expensive and you would probably have to sell a few organs to afford it so the owner took it for himself.

I threw my duffel in as soon as the elevator doors opened but I grabbed it as I spotted the personal elevator reserved just for the owner himself.

"I mean a little luxury never hurt no one..... I think" Throwing my duffel in I got to work and pressed the button for the third floor and started ripping off my clothes .
