*Shay's POV*
After the, echem, awkward conversation about my stitches, I realized that I had no idea where the hell my house was. Crap...maybe Johnnie can help out a bit. "Um, Johnnie?"
"Hm?" His attention turns to me. Oh god, his eyes were gorgeous.
"I, uh, I don't know where my house is." I tell him hesitantly, hoping he won't make fun of me.
Okay, yes, even after he carried me home after me passing out and he helped me, I still kept some walls up. Hell taught me that even the most beautiful surfaces had jagged cracks. I was terrified of letting him in, no matter how nice he was. Last time I let someone in...I don't even want to think about what happened. Let's just say, these stitches were a result of it. "That's fine," He smiles. "What does it look like?"
"Um, it's pretty big...and white," I tell him.
He scoffs, "Dude, there's a lot of houses like that, you have to be specific."
I blush slightly, nibbling on my lip once more. "It has a round balcony on the side with two big semi circle windows in the front."
He raises his eyebrows at my answer, "You live there?"
I shrug, "I guess."
He shakes his head, "The woman who lives there is my english teacher. She's your mom?"
"She's a teacher?" That's a new one.
He nods, "Yeah, a pretty cool one at that. She actually cares about what we all have to say."
At least she's a cool teacher. I hope that if I have her, she will act as if I'm not her daughter. She is bound to have Marcus's last name, and besides, I have the beast's last name instead. Shay Imagine Fraiser. Apparently. Mom used to be a hippie, so she gave me a wacked out middle name. She was probably on drugs when she called that one. But hey, at least she went into collage. Suddenly, a hand is waving in front of my face, "Hello, earth to Shay?"
"Did I ever leave?" I retort.
He gives a sarcastic laugh, "Ha ha, very funny smartass."
I grin at him, "Thank you, there's more where that came from." I take out my cell phone and gasp at the time. "Holy shit, it's 7:30?"
He snickers, "Curfew?"
I stare at the phone as I say, "My dad's gonna-" I cut myself off right there.
He tilts his head, "You're dad's gonna what?'
I shake my head quickly, "Nevermind. Can you help me home?'
"Okay," He says hesitantly.
Great, now he thinks I'm a freak. He's probably making fun of me in his head right now. Fuck, why do I have to screw everything up. I get a little possibility of finally having a friend, but my big fat mouth has to ruin everything. No wonder everone hates me. No wonder the beast beat the shit out of me everyday. I was a complete fuck up. I follow Johnnie out the door, while he was laughing and being his dorky self. I got into it as much as I could, but I was faking. I-I wanted to cut so bad. Seeing him smile at me made me wonder, why the hell is he being so nice to me? I don't deserve it. Look at him, he's perfect. He probably just feels sorry for me. I'm just a worthless freak.
